I realize that everyone who follows us know this fact, but as I sit here at the library and my skin and eyes are getting completely dried out (MAC strobe cream is coming out soon as a skin refresher), I’m reminded at how much I love the fact that Liptini Topper glosses are super-moisturizing and keep my lips from drying out…this may be the sappiest I’ve felt about a product in some time…. <grin>

And check out their new gorgeous shades for Spring at Liptini.com!

Hey Folks,

Time to try out some new colors on Style Chicks – we will be featuring different patterns for the left side of the page – check out our twitter page (http://twitter.com/stylechicks) and e-mail us to let us know if you think we should officially change Style Chicks to that pattern, or one of the other ones we’ll be trying out this week!

 Thanks for your help!

Since Earth Day is this Wednesday, let’s take a look at a pair of shoes that are made with eco-friendly materials. Camper Shoes makes all their pairs eco-friendly, and I really like their Camper Women’s Twins Pump. The 3″ heel is pretty comfortable looking while still adding some decent height, and the pink polka dots are pretty fun for Spring.

Find them at Endless.com.

You know how much we love the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare line, and I mentioned how great I find. Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare’s Instant Boost Skin Tonic previously. In the last couple of weeks I’ve found a great new use for it – instead of wetting your makeup sponge with water, use Instant Boost Skin Tonic to gently pat down your skin between layers of makeup and for blending. Not only does it keep your makeup flawless, the wonderful combination of ingredients – among them being aloe vera, calendula, chamomile, cucumber extract, and Vitamin E – your skin will stay super dewy and nary a line will be visible on your face all day, with no greasiness at all. If your skin gets super dry when you office turns on the AC, I’d highly recommend this technique.

When I sent around the office the link to the newly released Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy Shimmer Body Lotion, I heard a series of happy exclamations as everyone opened their mail. We had been discussing shimmering body lotions just last week, and this universally-flattering champagne gold lotion just shot to the top of our list to try. As if the perfect Midnight Cowboy sheen wasn’t enough, the lotion looks like it will be great as well – a paraben free (yay!) formula with Aloe, Chamomile, Avocado and Jojoba Oils. Vitamin E and Green Tea Extract (yay times 6) with UD’s fabulous milk and honey scent. And you can get 7 ounces for $28 – that’ll take you through the summer!

Find it at UrbanDecay.com.

It’s OK. I’ll wait until you can breathe again. I couldn’t breathe either when I saw these Casadei Blush Suede Peep Toe Sandal Shoes with Bow.

So it’s Spring and time for a soft, sweet pink heel. Though I’m not quite sure if these qualify as shoes or simply as wearable art with the jaw-dropping carved faux horn heel…

How I do love warm weather…

In my ever-changing cycle of my favorite eyeshadow, KLS Beauty Eyeshadow Color-rich Shadow in Blue Bauble makes frequent appearances. It is incredibly silky and stays in place no matter what. It’s a great daytime shadow because it gives enough color, but looks very natural, more brightening than a pop of color. You can layer it for more intensity, but a couple of layers does a great job in balancing the tone of your eyelid and adding a little bit of color without looking like you are straight out of the ’80′s and wearing frosted baby blue eyeshadow. If you are pale and slightly pink-undertoned, it does a great job as a brow highligher as well. And it’s absolutely perfect for Spring’s pastel makeup trends.

Beauty.com is currently offering it on their final clearance, so you can get it at a discount too! It is a little paler in person than it is in the picture here, and doesn’t have that hint of green. But it is indeed as decadant feeling as the picture looks….

Shape.com has a great article on at-home spa tips. Some are good reminders, but others really impressed me – check out the one about brightening your complexion with baking soda on page 2. I am totally trying that one out tomorrow – I’ll let you know how it works.
