So if you are close to the Beauty 360 in Ridgefield, CT today between noon and 6pm, stop in to meet Michelle Toma-Olson, the founder of ‘Tini Beauty, the makers of my favorite brands Liptini and Nailtini. In addition to mocktails, snacks, and GWP of ’Tini products, Michelle will be mixing up custom Liptini lip cocktails for you.

Be sure to check out our Liptini articles, and if you like any of the combos we’ve put together here at Style Chicks, take down the shades we used and ask how to customize it to your skintone. That’s the beauty of Liptini – just by adding a little bit of Mixer Pencil, Straight Up Lip Color, or Topper Gloss, anyone can wear any shade of lipstick and have it look fabulous with their coloring.

While you are there, check out the new Lip Liqueur Lip and Cheek Stain, Singapore Sling, a coral-pink. I haven’t tried it yet, but it definitely made my short list of things I have to pick up soon when I saw it featured on ZoomZoom.com. It’s so rare to find a pink that is universally flattering – definitely worth picking up for Summer. You can also buy it at Liptini.com if you aren’t near a Beauty 360. Not only does it look universally flattering for lips, but also on cheeks for a delicate summer flush.

Unfortunately I can’t make it over to Ridgefield due to some prior plans in the other direction - but this is a Style Chicks recommended beauty event! :)

So I thought I had thought of every use for Liptini Mixer Pencils (I can do a quick whole makeup job using just Pink Whip), but as I flipped through this month’s SELF magazine, I found another great use: use the Ice Water (clear) Mixer Pencil around your cuticles when you are applying polish to keep the color off of them. And since it contains a ton of Shea Butter, your cuticles look great in no time if you keep it in your purse for cuticle moisturization on the go!

Wow, I have to go back to my Liptini box and start playing with everything in case I missed any more uses. :)

Find the Ice Water Mixer Pencil at Liptini.com.

Sephora has put together sample kits of their best seller items according to use or type. You may be familar with the Sephora Lash Stash – same concept (the line in fact includes a Lash Stash kit), but with fragrance, skincare, and makeup.

And considering the fact that I’ve been in a pink lip mood recently, the Sephora Favorites Get Pink’d Pink Lip Deluxe Sampler sure caught my eye.

Just noticed the Emjoi AP-66T Clear Skin at Amazon.com for $25.92 (regular price $50).  I haven’t tried it, but seems like a good deal for a no-frills phototherapy device for acne.

Forget your sunscreen? Instead of your standard cleanser, brew up some green or white tea, dip a washcloth in it and gently pat your face (seriously, no scrubbing this is not the time to exfoliate). It will take down the inflammation and redness down, and soothes your skin quick. Simple and inexpensive, as well as effective.
