Tech: SG Quality Dual Port USB Fast Car Charger

When I rent a car, it is hit or miss as to whether the car has a USB port in the dashboard, even on 2017 models. So for the days that I’m on the road and my iPhone starts draining, I decided to keep a USB Car Charger in my purse. But I have found a lot to be low-quality, so I am thrilled to find a good one in the SG Quality Dual Port USB Fast Car Charger.

 

 

As you can see from the video below, it is as easy as could be to plug the charger into the car adapter. I used my high-quality Lightning to USB cords with it. The cords fit into the slots snugly and stay put. This is nice, as I’ve tried car chargers that have slots that are a bit loose, but that is not the case with this charger.

I like that the slots light up to show they are working. It makes it easier at night to insert cords, and to remember to put it back in my bag when I am done with it.

There is a 1 AMP port and a 2.5 AMP port on it so that you can charge a range of devices. Both ports worked well and charged effectively. My Samsung charged quite fast, so I am pretty impressed with the Fast Charge function.

 

I am going to buy a spare SG Quality Dual Port USB Fast Car Charger to keep in my Go Bag. We are in the middle of hurricane season here in the NorthEast. If we lose power, then all of the town resources for charging your phone also don’t have power for several days. If I can get a charge from my car in case of a widespread power outage like the ones we experience in the area, that is one less thing I have to worry about. And since we’re heading into winter, I’m happy to have a charger with me if I get stuck in the snow on the road.
