Makeup can be messy sometimes. Powder makeup is a big offender in this regard, especially Mineral Makeup. There’s something a little weird about a range of products that you are supposed to shake the majority of the product off the brush, right? Of course, that never stops us from shaking off the product onto our vanity tables, other products, makeup mirrors, and clothes, does it?
The good folks at Make-Up-Matte came up with a handy way to deal with the mess. The Make Up Matte is a handy, easily totable cloth mat to pick up all of that errant makeup and keep it from getting on your vanity or clothes. It does an impressive job of keeping your beauty counter clean, and then can be thrown in the wash when it needs it! Plus, the patterns offered are adorable! I was sent a sample in Garden Rose, and I’ve been using it all the time.

In addition to minding mineral makeup, it does a great job guarding fabrics and surfaces when using airbrush makeup, in addition to muffling the sound of the air compressor a bit. But my absolute favorite use for it is at the gym. My gym has the cleanest women’s locker room you have or every will see. But still – it’s a locker room, and I don’t want my makeup touching any surfaces or falling on the ground. The Make Up Matte does a great job of keeping my makeup safe from germs/bacteria/etc on surfaces, then I just wash it when I get home!
