Hair Tools: the HairMax Quick Dry Towel

January 30, 2020 · 8 Comments

Isn’t a towel just a towel? Not when it comes to your hair. The HAIRMAX QUICK DRY HAIR TOWEL protects the hair cuticle and reduces The risk of hair breakage. There is currently a limited time 50% off offer at HairMax.com. We picked up a few extras to keep our tresses safe when wet.

Why A Hair Towel Is Necessary

If you are growing out your hair, losing hair, or are a curly, the right hair towel is important.

Hair breakage is common with chemical processing, hot tool use and hair loss. Wet hair is vulnerable. Keep hair in its’ best condition with a proper hair towel. A bath towel intended to dry off body skin is too rough for delicate wet hair. Terry cloth towels feel soft and fluffy on the skin, but can fray the hair cuticle and cause breakage.

A good hair towel should absorb enough water to reduce drying time and limit exposure to hot styling tools.

Our Experience

The HairMax Quick Dry Hair Towel is an absorbent microfiber that’s gentle to hair. The Quick Dry Hair Towel is lightweight and it stays put.

This towel is generously sized at 19” x 52”. If you have long hair, you may have been disappointed with other hair towels. This one accommodates even very long hair.

Got curly hair? This makes hair form into pretty well-formed ringlets and curls, not frizz.  The towel cradles the hair while wicking moisture. The towel also removes enough moisture to optimize hair product penetration.

I let my hair air-dry about 70% in the towel, then finish off my hair with hair-drying on the lowest heat setting to style. I love the lack of frizz, and styling my hair is so much faster and healthier.

      Hi Jade!

Courtney has waist length hair which is crazy thick and has lots of it and she loves these towels! The towels are much bigger than typical hair towels.

Do these wrap these on the head like a turban?

Yup, you use them just like you use a regular body towel, but HairMax towels are so much more gentle on hair! It also helps to gently pick up sections and pat off excess water – your hair will have much less breakage!

Oh I love these towels! Going to pick some more up. My hair got really brittle a couple of months ago and I started using these towels – definitely less breakage when it’s wet.

I’m trying to dry my hair less, which isn’t as easy as I thought it would be in winter. Is this a better way to naturally dry my hair and then just dry to style?

      Hi Karly!

This is definitely a great “low-dry” hack – these towels soak up so much moisture that you can put it on, do your skincare routine, and then quickly finish your hair! It’s kind of like a rough blow dry to get the water out, except there is nothing rough about it. And it feels really luxurious when you are wearing it. 🙂
