Brooklyn Botany Vitamin C Serum

Brooklyn Botany Vitamin C Serum

I like that this serum is an L-Ascorbic Vitamin C, which is a much more potent, powerful version of Vitamin C than what is typically found in most Vitamin C serums. It is not a Vitamin C derivative, it is pure C, and as such, it can lose its’ freshness and potency quickly, which is why it is not found in many serums due to its’ limited shelf life. This serum has a special blend to preserve the L-Ascorbic for twelve months.

The serum applies smoothly and dries down evenly without being sticky. It leaves skin with a dewy, subtle glow. My skin did not feel dry, red or irritated and there is not a residual scent. To maximize the effects of this serum, use after washing the face, and leave skin slightly moist. Apply the serum, and allow to dry. After 10-15 minutes, use an eye cream and facial moisturizer over the serum. If you are going to be outside, wear sunscreen to protect the skin, as Vitamin C increases sun sensitivity.

This serum is particularly suited to sensitive skins as the preservatives are naturally soothing and have a buffering effect. The serum can be used once to twice a day. Vitamin C is used in the morning if you only use it once a day.

RESULTS
I find this gives a dewy glow to my skin and softens fine lines and dries blackheads and emerging blemishes. I have a few brown spots on my face that are very slowly fading. Vitamin C is especially effective on the forehead.

Vitamin C addresses these sort of topical skin concerns, but also is a vital component in the production of collagen in the skin. Collagen is the scaffolding that holds up the skin and keeps it from sagging and wrinkling. Because of this, I tend to use extra of the serum on my forehead, above my eyebrows and on crows feet to increase the collagen in these areas. Collagen production typically takes 1-2 months to become noticeable but results in tighter, firmer skin.

CONCLUSION: High-quality L-Ascorbic Vitamin C serum, suitable for sensitive skin. Effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines and acne scars, exceptional price.

I haven’t heard of Brooklyn Botany before. I really like Vitamin C Serums, though.

It’s a really great brand. I hadn’t heard of them either until recently.

Heard of L-Ascorbic Vitamin C from Dr Perricone. Nice to find something a little less expensive!

That is where I first heard of L-Ascorbic too! That was a long time ago, but I have always tried to find products with it since! Brooklyn Botany really does make a great Vitamin C Serum.
