Can You Use Retinol in the Summer? What Dermatology Experts Recommend

July 28, 2026 · Leave a Comment

There’s a common misconception that you can’t use retinol during the summer because doing so will leave your skin vulnerable to the sun’s rays. While retinol can make your skin more sensitive to ultraviolet rays, you certainly don’t have to discontinue retinol use altogether. Here’s why using retinol skin care products during the summer is possible and tips on how to use retinol safely.

What’s Behind the Common Belief That Summer Retinol Use Is Unsafe?

Many people believe that retinol use during the summer is unsafe because it speeds up cell turnover. It reveals newer skin that can be more vulnerable to UV exposure. While it’s true that this new skin is more hypersensitive, there are many ways to protect this new layer of skin and benefit from the use of retinol year-round as long as you use caution and medical grade skincare products.

Tips for Safe Retinol Use in the Summer

If you want to unclog pores, stimulate collagen production and promote cell turnover without giving up your retinol during the summer, here are a few useful tips from dermatology experts.

Use Retinol at Night and Be Strategic About Protection

Protecting your fresh layer of skin against the sun is one concern, but another is retinol efficacy. What many people don’t know is that UV rays can degrade vitamin A, preventing retinol products from doing their job. The best course of action to follow during the summer is to apply retinol at night so that UV rays don’t prevent you from seeing your desired results.

If you do wear retinol during the day, be mindful about protection. Use a product that contains both retinol and sunscreen, or layer sunscreen over your retinol to prevent UV rays from inactivating your retinol. While nighttime application helps maximize retinol’s effectiveness, daytime protection is what allows you to continue using it confidently throughout the summer.

Wear Plenty of Sunscreen When You Go Outside

Sun protection is important regardless of the skin products you’re using during the summer. It’s especially important when using retinol, as the new skin revealed while using it is especially sensitive. It’s recommended that you use sun protection with SPF 30 for daily activities and minor sun exposure. If you’re planning to be out in the sun for extended periods while engaged in more vigorous activity, wear water-resistant sun protection with SPF 50. Make sure to apply your sunscreen every few hours so that your skin is as safe as possible from the sun’s rays.

As an additional note, keep in mind that there are different levels of water resistance for sun protection products. A good water-resistant face moisturizer with SPF can help provide everyday protection when you’re sweating more than usual or spending time outdoors. Extra water-resistant sunscreen (or “waterproof”) would be a better fit if you perspire heavily or spend a lot of time in the water or at the beach regularly.

Avoid Peak Hours When the Sun Can Do the Most Damage

UV rays are the strongest from 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. If you are using retinol, try to avoid sun exposure during those hours to prevent strong UV rays from degrading your retinol products or affecting your skin. If you do need to be out during these times, wear sun protection and a hat that shades your face.

Keep Your Skin Well-Moisturized With Hyaluronic Acid

Products with high concentrations of retinol may have side effects such as dryness, peeling and irritation. These make your skin more sensitive overall, as well as sensitive to the sun. To counteract these side effects and make sure that your skin is summer-ready, use products that keep your skin moisturized. Skincare experts recommend hyaluronic acid products, as this ingredient acts as a humectant that draws moisture into the skin and keeps it there. And hyaluronic acid for the face won’t counteract the effects of your retinol products or prevent them from working.

Alongside Deeply Moisturizing Products, Use a Good, Gentle Cleanser

Your skin already goes through a lot as a result of exposure to UV rays, as well as retinol use. Unless you need a more aggressive cleanser because your dermatologist has recommended it, opt for a gentle cleanser instead. A gentle cleanser will help you keep your skin clean and healthy without preventing any further damage or irritation that could leave your skin feeling worse for wear. Try looking for a gentle cleanser that helps keep your skin moist so that you can counteract the effects of retinol skin care products with higher retinol levels.

Chart above is from “The Dos and Don’ts of Mixing Skincare Ingredients” from Image Skincare

Don’t Use Retinol on a Sunburn

There are a few things that you should never do when using retinol during the summer. Some of these are obvious, such as avoiding harsh exfoliants during the summer that could cause irritation and leave you more vulnerable to sun damage. However, others might not be as obvious. For example, if you have a minor sunburn during the summer, you might think that it’s OK to continue your skincare regimen as-is. If your skin is already irritated from the sunburn, retinol can exacerbate that irritation. Consider discontinuing use until your skin is back to its healthy condition.

Retinol use during the summer is OK, despite what many have been taught to believe. While retinol does prompt greater cell production and reveal new, fresh skin that can be sensitive to sunlight, you don’t have to quit retinol use altogether in the summer sunlight. Instead, focus on using retinol thoughtfully alongside daily sun protection and consistent hydration to keep your skin healthy throughout the season

New Year, Same Skin: How to Work With What You Have

December 30, 2025 · Leave a Comment

There’s something about January that tempts us into thinking our skin needs a total overhaul — new serums, new steps, new promises that this will finally be the year everything smooths out. But most of us don’t need a complete reset. We just need to reconnect with what’s already working.

Rather than chasing a completely “new” complexion, treat this season as a return to your natural skin and the familiar features that make you feel like yourself. Winter is already a transitional moment for skin, so leaning into what you naturally do well often feels more realistic than forcing a full overhaul.

Here’s how to work with your skin’s strengths and give it the support it actually needs this year:

Step One: Understand, But Don’t Overcorrect

Before you add anything new to your lineup, take a second to really listen to your skin. Feeling a little tight after cleansing? Noticing winter air making your cheeks extra reactive? Getting shiny in the same spots every afternoon? These tiny clues help you figure out what your skin actually needs, with no guessing,  overcorrecting, or accidental product overload that leaves your skin barrier (the top layer that houses your skin cells and protective immune cells) feeling overwhelmed. Ditching the heavy foundation for a hydrating CC cream, for example, might better suit your skin’s needs.

Dermatologists continue to remind us that steadiness usually beats constant experimentation. A supportive, skin barrier-friendly approach is one of the most reliable ways to keep skin healthy and resilient in the long term. Think lightweight hydration, gentle cleansing, and sticking with the ingredients your skin is already used to — and don’t forget that SPF!

Step Two: Keep Your Base Honest

A polished base starts with choosing textures that feel lightweight and flexible. A BB or CC cream is ideal because it evens tone, adds soft radiance, and offers sun protection in a single step. During winter, you might even find your usual shade shifts slightly, since colder weather and less sun exposure can nudge your skin tone lighter. Remember to adjust as needed.

To achieve the smoothest finish, warm a small amount between your fingertips, then press it into the skin to help the product blend more naturally with your moisturizer while preventing it from sitting heavily on the surface. The result is a base that looks fresh, comfortable, and seamless, with no overthinking required. If a bit of texture still shows through, that’s completely normal! Skin tends to look its best when its natural finish is still visible, especially in cooler months when we all run a bit drier.

Step Three: Use Product to Accentuate, Not Hide

Once your base is set, a few quick touches can bring your features forward in a really natural way. Brows are a great place to start: a light coat of eyebrow gel adds shape and lift without any extra effort. For lips, reach for a hydrating lip tint. The mix of color and moisture perks up your whole face, especially when winter air is less than kind! Sheer tones tend to complement cooler lighting beautifully, giving your skin an instant sense of warmth.

Lashes are the final polish. A coat of tubing mascara wraps each lash in a flexible tube for long-lasting definition. That unique tubing effect makes removal surprisingly simple, so if you’re wondering how to remove tubing mascara, all it takes is warm water and a touch of pressure, with no tugging required. These small touches bring structure, brightness, and lift to the face, proving that everyday makeup can feel polished without being time-consuming.

Step Four: Choose Products That Enhance What’s Already There

Sometimes the biggest glow-up comes from supporting your skin, not stacking more products onto it. Simple habits, like drinking more water, actually applying your daily SPF to prevent new sunspots, or using a single-ingredient serum such as hyaluronic acid or squalane, often make more of a difference than trying a dozen new formulas at once. These small, steady steps strengthen your skin’s natural rhythm and help your complexion look brighter and more balanced on its own, which means you’re enhancing what’s already there instead of trying to reinvent it.

And while it’s easy to save the “special” products for a perfect moment, there’s something refreshing about using what you already own. Wear that gifted special-edition lipstick instead of waiting for a special occasion. Reach for the plumping gloss that makes you feel put together on an ordinary Tuesday. Prioritize rest, nourishment, and gentle consistency over chasing every trending ingredient or 10-step routine. The more you care for yourself in these everyday ways, the more your skin reflects it naturally, quietly, and without the need for extra layers or superfluous products

Progress Over Perfection

Real talk: your skin doesn’t require an overhaul. It benefits far more from consistency and a routine that aligns with what’s already working. When your products and techniques support your natural features, everything tends to fall into place with less effort.

The new year isn’t a call to change your complexion or what makes you you! It’s a reminder to pay closer attention to it. Support your skin health, learn from its quirks, and give it space to respond. Good skin comes from steady care, and chances are, you’re already much closer than you think.

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation Review What to Love

November 22, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation Review: Pros and Cons, Best Use Tips

Giorgio Armani’s Power Fabric+ Foundation is a favorite in luxury makeup. It has medium to full coverage, it is buildable, and has a lightweight texture. But how does it compare to the iconic Armani Luminous Silk Foundation? What are the pros and cons? We tested it out. Here is our experience and best use tips.  Let’s look at the details to find out if this foundation is right for you.

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation Swatch for Light Skin Tone

We tested Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation. Check out our tips for how to best use it.

What We Love About Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation

Armani’s Power Fabric+ Foundation has flawless coverage without a heavy, cakey finish.

This formulation also covers a multitude of sins, especially on Zoom video conferences!

It is buildable yet very lightweight.

We discovered six main benefits. Here they are:

1. Buildable Coverage with a Lightweight Feel

The first thing we love is that it is buildable, so you can layer it without the fear of it becoming cakey.

It is rare to find a buildable foundation that has good coverage.

If you want medium to full coverage without the look or feel of coverage, this is a good foundation for you.

Two things are special about this formula:

  • The foundation has Micro-fil technology. This allows for a lightweight application.
  • It also has ultra-fine pigments. This gives the coverage necessary for concealing:
    • blemishes
    • redness
    • dark spots
    • other imperfections such as small scars

It is best applied in VERY thin layers to get the job done. The thinner the better. And it acts more like a concealer than a foundation pigment-wise.

2. Matte Finish with a Natural Look

The matte finish of the Power Fabric+ is best for those with oily or combination skin. We like that it controls shine AND still keeps a natural, fresh look.

Even though it has a matte finish, the foundation doesn’t leave the skin looking flat or dry. It has a soft, skin-like finish that gives you a “no-makeup” makeup look.

3. SPF Protection

The third thing we like is that the foundation contains SPF 25.

This is a nice bonus in a daily foundation. While it’s not a substitute for sunscreen, it can add an extra layer of protection against UV rays.

This extra protection is especially helpful around the eye area skin. Eye skin often gets overlooked on SPF coverage.

4. Long-Lasting Formula

The fourth thing we love is Power Fabric+ lasts for up to 24-hour wear.

  • This makes it great for busy, long days when you can’t touch up your makeup.
  • It also works well for events like weddings when you need your makeup to last without needing many touch-ups.

A foundation that stays put without fading is such a great beauty find! We rarely see a foundation that is both long-wearing AND does not feel sticky on the skin.

5. Broad Shade Range

The fifth thing we love is that Armani Beauty is inclusive.

They have a wide range of shades. Armani Beauty ensures that a variety of skin tones are well-represented. This makes it pretty easy to find a good match.

6. Armani Power Fabric+ Looks Great on Camera

The sixth thing we love about this foundation is how great it makes skin look on camera.

It is fully Zoom Video Conferences Friendly!

If you need a matte flawless finish with the look of no visible makeup, (think photo ops like weddings or professional headshots) Armani Beauty Power Fabric+ is an excellent choice.

The Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation Experience: Pros & Benefits

It is very easy to get a smooth application even with your fingers.

But we would not call Power Fabric+ Foundation an entirely effortless application.

Here’s a breakdown of the experience.

First the pros:

Seamless Blending and Comfortable Wear

The foundation blends effortlessly into the skin, offering an immediate, smooth, and even finish.

  • The formula has a featherweight feel. This makes it comfortable for all-day wear. I did not experience the sensation of wearing thick layers of makeup.
  • It does not feel sticky.
  • It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. This makes it perfect for those with oily or combination skin.

No Need for Concealer

One of the best features of this foundation is its ability to cover dark spots, blemishes, and redness without the need for additional products like concealer.

It gives such a smooth, even coverage that many users can skip the concealer entirely, especially under the eyes and around the nose area.

MY EXPERIENCE: I have two main skin problems to conceal:

    • My dark under eye circles require medium to heavy coverage concealer. I skipped the concealer and just dabbed on a bit of extra foundation.
    • I also use an extra bit to cover acne. It does an impressive job concealing the red without looking like a pimple covered in heavy spackle.
    • BEST USE TIP: We find a foundation spatula works better than a damp sponge on small problem areas.

Perfect Match for a Range of Skin Tones

As someone with a unique skin tone, finding a foundation that matches me perfectly is a challenge.

However, Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation offers an excellent range of shades, so finding the right one is not a problem.

This formula is especially great for those with undertones that don’t always match traditional foundation shades.

PROOF: In both the comments over at the Reddit Beauty Forums and what we heard from other Armani foundation users, almost all report finding a very close match to their skin tone. Some say it is the best match they ever had.

Areas Open for Improvement: The Cons

The Power Fabric+ Foundation impresses in many areas. But there are also a few things to consider before you buy it.

Here are a few potential cons:

1. Oxidation

For those with dry or neutral skin, you may find that the foundation oxidizes over time.

If you have a fair complexion or are prone to oxidation, this might change to a darker, warmer shade throughout the day.

As someone with dry skin, I had not experienced this problem before. But as a water-based formula, it may interact with your own skin oils.

How to best fix this problem:

If possible, test before a long days’ use to see how it reacts with your skin. You may want to adjust your primers or moisturizer.

2. Settling into Fine Lines

Even though it is lightweight, some users with dry skin or fine lines experience the foundation settling into their fine lines.

How to best fix this problem:
    • Try a hydrating primer or light moisturizer first.
    • This may require some maintenance throughout the day with a damp sponge.
    • If your skin gets dry or shows texture after a few hours, using a moisturizing primer can improve the wear.

MY EXPERIENCE: I don’t have many fine lines. But after 5 hours it did settle into my lines. This typically does not happen to me. It made my lines look worse than they actually are. And the settling was the only obvious sign I was wearing any foundation.

3. Is Armani Beauty Power Fabric+ clean beauty?

No. This is not a clean beauty formulation. And it doesn’t claim to be clean or vegan.

But, it is still worthy of consideration because it gives the appearance of very little (if any) makeup on the skin.

Even those who prefer clean beauty cosmetics may wish to make an exception on special occasions for a completely flawless finish that still looks natural.

How does Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation compare to Armani Luminous Silk Foundation?

Both Giorgio Armani formulations use the same Micro-fil technology and ultra-fine pigment.

This matte formulation is best suited for those with combination and oily complexions.

Here is a chart of the differences between the two Armani foundations:

Feature Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Coverage Medium to Full Medium
Finish Matte Dewy
Wear 24 hours, Extra-long Extended

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Is Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation good for dry skin?

While the foundation provides a matte finish, it is best suited for oily or combination skin types.

If you have dry skin, the Luminous Silk Foundation may be the best option. If you prefer the fuller coverage of Power Fabric, hydrate your skin first a moisturizing primer.

2. Does this foundation offer full coverage?

Yes, Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation offers medium to full coverage that is buildable for a more flawless finish.

3. How long does Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation last?

The foundation is long-wearing formula that can last up to 24 hours. This is great for all-day wear without the need for touch-ups.

Final Thoughts: Is Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation Worth It?

The Giorgio Armani Power Fabric+ Foundation is an impressive foundation! It has full coverage with a lightweight, natural finish.

  • It is comfortable to wear and does not feel tacky on the skin.
  • It’s perfect for oily or combination skin types.
  • The matte finish controls shine without appearing too flat.
  • The wide range of shades are often an excellent match.
  • CON: The matte finish may not be the best choice if you have dry skin.

But it is hard to beat this foundation if you need a long-lasting, no-makeup look.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist How to Best Use Guide

November 14, 2025 · Leave a Comment

REVIEW + HOW TO GUIDE Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, a J-Beauty cult classic with unexpected clean beauty skincare benefits.

What is Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist?

Dry, sensitive skin is no match for forced indoor air. If your skin feels tight and irritated after a day at the office, you may want to treat your skin to some daytime hydration.

One product that delivers skincare benefits along with hydration (without disrupting makeup and sunscreen) is Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist.

At first glance, this appears as a very spendy version of a bottled water spray. But it is a gentle skin treatment by itself, closer to a portable essence. It doubles as a hydrator to set makeup in place without leaving a tacky, stiff finish.

WHAT MAKES Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist SPECIAL: the Benefits

It is an essence that applies easily from an atomizer bottle.
The results are like a moisturizer without the residue of a cream or gel.

There are few to no problem ingredients for sensitive skin. There is a slight fragrance.

Other benefits of Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist are:

  • Non-irritating.
  • Non-sensitizing.
  • Dermatologist tested.
  • Cruelty-free.
  • Formulated without: Mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, urea, DEA, TEA or phthalates.

But what really makes it special is the cocktail of ingredients. Tatcha as a brand uses traditional skin care methods focused on natural Japanese ingredients and timeless beauty rituals. These methods are especially helpful to sensitive skin types.

Tatcha packaging protects the glass bottle with perfume atomizer top
Boxed packaging protects the glass bottle with perfume atomizer style misting top
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist has perfume bottle style atomizer misting top to cover the face in 2-3 sprays.

Each Tatcha product incorporates a proprietary complex of fermented rice, green tea, and a skin-loving algae native to Japanese waters.

Many products boast ONE of these ingredients, but this spray contains several skin-friendly inclusions.

Let’s take a look at the stellar ingredient lineup:

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist KEY INGREDIENTS

CAMELLIA JAPONICA SEED OIL

Tsubaki is the authentic name for Japanese Camellia oil, also called Camellia Japonica Oil.

Japanese Camellia (Tsubaki) Oil comes from the seeds of the Japanese Camellia. Some benefits include:

  • It can deeply penetrate the skin and promotes elastin and collagen production.
  • Camellia Japonica Seed Oil Tsubaki is an antioxidant and moisturizer, rich in oleic acid to help the skin retain hydration.
  • Tsubaki also contains polyphenols, vitamins A, D, C, and E.
  • This non-comedogenic oil promotes skin elasticity.[1]
  • Tsubaki is most effective at transdermal collagen and elastin delivery.
  • It is a pale golden lightweight oil, similar to hemi-squalene in is’ consistency.
Tsubaki Camellia

GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA (LICORICE) ROOT EXTRACT

Licorice root extract contains glabridin, a potent antioxidant that soothes skin.

It lightens dark circles gently, improves uneven tone and skin redness. it is safe for even sensitive skin. [2]

ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) GERM OIL

Also known as Rice Bran, Oryza Sativa comes from the outer husk of rice grains.

Oryza Sativa has been used in Japan for centuries for hair and skin.

It is rich in ceramides, beta-carotene, CoQ10, lycopene, Vitamins A, B, and Tocotrienols, the “super” vitamin E. These hydrate skin to help maintain elasticity.

It reduces pigmentation and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Oryza Sativa also contains Gamma Oryzanol, a Ferulic Acid ester that is an anti-aging antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage.[3]

PANAX GINSENG ROOT EXTRACT

Panax or Red Ginseng root extract, is extracted from Ginseng root has been aged several years. There are a variety of traditional health applications.

A study found that Red ginseng reduced inflammation and improved the antioxidant activity in skin cells impacted by eczema.[4]

chondrus crispus

CHONDRUS CRISPUS EXTRACT

Chondrus Crispus Extract is a variety of Red Algae seaweed.

This seaweed is rich in beta-carotene, antioxidants zeaxanthin and lutein which protect skin from blue light (such as from smartphones).

It contains natural peptides and amino acids to keep skin hydrated by locking in moisture.

It is rich in Carrageenan, which provides defense against environmental stressors.

ZIZIPHUS JUJUBA FRUIT EXTRACT

This Chinese date is a species in the genus of Ziziphus in the buckthorn family. Also called “Jujube”. It is an antioxidant that is skin soothing. [5]

SODIUM HYALURONATE

Sodium HA is a non-synthesized form of Hyaluronic Acid. It has Hyaluronic Acid benefits, is a humectant and offers stronger moisture retention properties than regular HA.

It is found naturally and ample supply in young skin but depletes with age.

Sodium Hyaluronate Acid has a lower molecular size compared to other Hyaluronic Acids. This is good because it can absorb deeper into the skin.

Cladosiphon Okamuranus Extract

An edible seeweed native to Okinawa, Japan. It is also commonly used in traditional medicine applications, especially in fermented form.

When applied topically, Cladosiphon okamuranus has a soothing effect on the skin.

This algae has fucoidan, a polysaccharide that helps to prevent skin irritation. Studies show fucoidan can even counteract Atopic Dermatitis. [6]

Fucoidan also promotes fibroblast cell production. [7] Fibroblast cells produce collagen and promote wound healing. Fucoidan also renews and brightens the skin while reducing wrinkle depth and skin spot intensity. [8]

ROYAL JELLY EXTRACT

Royal Jelly is a gelatinous bee product made to feed the queen bee.

It is anti-inflammatory anti-oxidant that is filled with skin-friendly nutrients. It smooths fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps with wound healing [9] and skin repair. [10]

Royal Jelly combats sun damage and can promote procollagen type I production. [11]

THYMUS SERPYLLUM EXTRACT

A wild thyme that functions as an anti-oxidant. Slightly astringent.

SCUTELLARIA BAICALENSIS ROOT EXTRACT

Chinese skullcap is a flowering medicinal plant rich in bioactive compounds. It can protect the skin barrier and improve hydration levels.

The main bioactive compounds are baicalein and baicalin. Baicalein inhibits the formation of Staphylococcus aureus. Baicalin protects skin from UV-induced damage, soothes inflammation, and counteracts oxidative damage. [12]

SERICIN

A silk protein created by silkworms while making silk. When it is applied topically it increases skin hydration levels.

It also has antibacterial, UV resistant, oxidative resistant and moisturizing properties. [13]

Saccharomyces Ferment

Saccharomyces Ferment is a probiotic yeast obtained by fermentation. It is considered a postbiotic.[14]

A moisturizing, skin- soothing, nutrient rich yeast ferment that stimulates cell renewal with amino acids and peptides. It is well tolerated even by sensitive skin types.

Fermentation increases nutrient density like a skincare ingredient “power level up”.

It increases oxygen flow to skin cells. [15] The better the oxygen flow and consumption, the better vital skin components such as collagen and elastin are maintained.

Fermented ingredients like Saccharomyces Ferment also enable better ingredient absorption as they break down ingredient molecules into smaller molecules easier for the skin to absorb.

Supporting Ingredients:

TRIETHYLHEXANOIN

A safe humectant that makes skin smooth. It is comprised of glycerin and 2-ethylhexanoic acid (a fatty acid).

Propanediol

A safe alternative to propylene glycol, a petroleum-based product that is a common skin irritant. Derived from corn, it is a humectant that stabilizes skincare formulations. [16]

How to Use Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Use this facial spray before makeup to soothe and hydrate or incorporate it into your ritual as a finishing spray after applying your makeup.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Spray on a foundation brush or sponge to use with your foundation, resulting in a dewy glow.
  • Use throughout the day on top of makeup to rehydrate your skin and re-energize your complexion.

This spray works great before a red-light treatment.

The Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Experience

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist can be mistaken for a pricey and somewhat overly dramatic setting spray. But really it is a skin treatment on the go.

It contains more than a dozen treating actives that are considered the “star” ingredient all on their own.

If you refresh your makeup during the day with a water spray and a Beauty Blender, Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist can really up your dewy skin game while protecting its’ exposome.

This product is most often used by skincare devotees.

I also enjoy using it under just a simple Hyaluronic Acid serum to drive in all those wonderful ingredients, especially before a red-light therapy treatment.

It functions as a moisturizer without the residue of a cream or gel. This makes it ideal to apply before sunscreen or foundation and avoid the ”pilling” that can occur laying moisturizer with other products.
