THE Essential Eye Brush Set
There are five brushes in the Essential Eye Brush Set. The brushes are well made; full and soft with shaped bristles. The bristles do not fall out with use or washing. The handles have a nice grip. I find the array of brushes useful for the initial base application, blending and precise product placement along the crease.
The set includes some useful basics including a small tapered brush for the crease and undereye shadow application or pressing powder into the eyeliner line. There is also a tapered blending brush and a crease brush.

My EDDIE FUNKHOUSER LUXLIGHT PROFESSIONAL SHADOW PALETTE EXPERIENCE
There is a significant color payoff with these shades, very pigmented. They blend well.
Best Use Tips for Vegan Eyeshadow Application
There is fallout during application, especially with the coppery and plum shimmers, but I didn’t have a fallout problem once the shades were blended well. A layer of loose powder on your undereye area or shadow shields are helpful if you are doing a smokey metallic look.
Eddie Funkhouser Eyeshadow Application tip:
“To give your eye makeup a high fashion edge, contour the crease of the eye with a dark shade using an Eye Contour Brush. Apply a second application of the same shade to the crease of the eye using a Crease Brush.”

A creamy powder shadow? I want one!
The texture is incredible.
Blushlight is soooooooo gorgeous!
It really is a beautiful color. We’ll try to get some close ups and swatches and post them on Instagram.
This Mama needs some eyeshadow drama!
No reason to not treat yourself to a fabulous palette! 🙂
Just tried the crease contour tip with my UD Reloaded and the closest brushes I can find to those and it really does work. Love the look!
Isn’t it a fantastic tip? I really recommend getting the brushes (and the palette) – they really are impressive. And I’ve tried a lot of brushes over time!
These colors are stunning!
They are even prettier in person! We’ll be posting some looks on Instagram so you can see what they look like when applied.
These look like really good brushes. I am tempted. 🙂
Go for it! If they make complex eyeshadow looks easy for a klutz like me, then they are amazing brushes! And I like that they retain their shape after washing.
The darker shades look like really good liner shades for green or hazel eyes.
Definitely. The copper tones really make my eyes more hazel than “vague brown”. Although I think this is one of those rare universally flattering palettes – the colors would really make blue eyes pop!
How does it compare with Urban Decay #1 Reloaded?
Hmmm…tough question. I actually think this palette is a “best of” combination of all the UD palettes as far as colors and versatility. I think the Eddie Funkhouser palette has more staying power and color payoff. UD is more of a standard powder formulation, whereas this palette is a creamier powder. Definitely not a cream formulation, but kind of the best of both worlds.
But…asking a Style Chicks to choose between palettes is like asking her to choose her favorite child. 😉
