Product Update: Hairmax Lasercomb Professional 12

November 30, 2015 · Leave a Comment

Lee previously let us know her thoughts on the Hairmax Lasercomb, let’s check in on her progress!

Well, here I am at the halfway to anticipated regrowth mark. The program continues to be easy to follow, integrating almost effortlessly into my evening beauty routine.

My results to date: I wasn’t expecting any at this point, but to my surprise, hair fallout has dramatically reduced with very few strands accumulating in the shower drain or on my hairbrush. For me,  this is especially noteworthy in that I’m one of the many gals who has distressingly increased shedding in the fall when leaves are dropping here in the Northeast.

So as far as my progress, so far, so (very!) good!

Product Review: Hairmax Lasercomb Professional 12 for Hair ReGrowth

August 18, 2015 · Leave a Comment

August is Hair Loss Awareness Month, and Lee is going to introduce us to one of the products she is using for her hair loss!

Well, I finally committed to using the Hairmax Laser Comb Professional 12 for the recommended full 16 weeks to see if it works for me. I have used it sporadically, but now I’m going to use it consistently. It’s been only two weeks since I’ve been using it, so it is too soon to expect any results, but based on what I’ve read, I’m very hopeful. It has been very easy to incorporate into my routine; I typically do it after dinner while watching television.

Before laying down my cold hard cash, I read many user reviews and located online the company’s actual submission to the FDA for approval. It was both interesting and reassuring. In the pre-approval studies, the average increase in new hairs per square inch for the closest situation to mine was 129.  In this case, I will be more than happy to be “average,” and the ease of use will make maintenance easy. I’ll keep you apprised of my results along the way!

Product Review: T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Ion Generator Hair Dryer

April 29, 2014 · Leave a Comment

I’ve talked about my love for T3 dryers many, many times before (I did a quick search on Style Chicks and found two pages of articles in which we’ve mentioned this magical line ofdryer.) In March my beloved Featherweight konked out (I got a lot of use out of that one), so I decided to replace with the current top of the T3 line, the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i.

I love, love, love it.

The marketing writeup says it dries hair 7 times faster. They don’t say faster than what, but once I tried it, I was a believer. The outer shaft dries crazy fast, the cuticle retains moisture. Fantastic.

There are three settings for both heat and speed. The highest speed setting is like a wind tunnel – my joke with my sister Lyn is that if one of us is using it, the other one just needs to stand in the general proximity to get a decent rough dry (I didn’t say it was funny, just said it was our joke.) I try to use low heat whenever possible, but when I’m in a rush I use the highest heat setting, and I have to say, my hair is no worse for wear than if I used the low heat setting. The speed of drying really helps to minimize damage.

And it leaves my hair soooooo soft and bouncy. I purchased the diffuser separately as the diffuser that I used with my last T3 does not fit this model, which is a shame. But $30 added for the diffuser isn’t a terrible price for soft, bouncy, super shiny curls. I’ve been using Oscar Blandi Glossing Cream as my styling product lately and the curls last all day, defined and glossy. It’s a good combination.

A great brush comes in the package but I haven’t really used it, nor have I used the concentrator consistently. The times I have used the concentrator on my roots produced fantastic volume – I should really use it more.

Now there is the price. A MSR of $250 is steep as an initial outlay. It is also ridiculously inexpensive when it comes down to the price per use (T3 dryers last forever), and the drying time it saves you. For those reasons, I consider this a steal.

Find it at Beauty.com for $250. Go get it now. I mean it. It is awesome. 🙂
