Ever feel like you are charging your phone so much that you basically are back to having a landline? It’s become a familiar sight to see people searching for spots in public to recharge their phones, tablets, and other devices. We’ve all tried those cute little lipstick-shaped portable chargers, and while adorable, they don’t exactly give a full charge in an emergency. Then there are the dreaded times that all of your devices are drained at once. Unlike other power banks, this one can charge two devices at once thanks to a USB port in addition to the built-in cord. So when I need to charge both my Kindle and my iPhone on the go, I can do so pretty quickly. I didn’t notice a huge difference in charging time between having one device plugged in and two devices.

I am very impressed that the Power Bank itself charges quickly via the included USB to Micro-USB cord. The bank obviously is pretty powerful to be able to charge two devices relatively quickly (it has a capacity of 4000 mAh), so a charge time for the Power Bank itself that was less than three hours for me is impressive. It also stayed completely cool to the touch during the entire time it was charging, which is a definite plus for me. I hate having to check charging devices to see if they are getting too hot, and I don’t have to worry about this one.

It is a good looking charger as well. It gives the appearance of white leather with stitching around the edge, and it is so small and light. You can easily throw it into a purse or case and always have it handy.

I’ve so glad to have found this charger. I wish I had it for Fashion Week this year: I felt like my phone, iPad, and camera seemed to all drain at the same time. I could have kept them going longer if I had this handy little power bank a few weeks sooner!

In an effort to bring style and beauty to my office, I have started to begrudge the device charging wires that litter my desk during the day. Additionally, I love when form meets function. So I am thrilled to have found the Nunet Natural Bamboo Wireless Charger.

The Nunet Natural Bamboo Wireless Charger is a wireless charger for Qi-Enabled smartphones. The Qi (pronounced “chee”) Standard uses Electro-Magnetic Induction to charge the battery of your smartphone. I love this technology because I have had so many cords break on me over time, and they always seem to do so far too soon. I was truly becoming frustrated when I ordered a three pack of brand-name Lightning Cords, and they all frayed at the base within a week! So needless to say, finding a great wireless charger feels like a true luxury!

This charger is a delicate and compact device that looks absolutely exquisite on my desk. I tuck the micro-USB cord behind a plant, so the stunning bamboo charger appears more decorative than anything else. It looks more like a luxury phone holder than a charger, but it charges fast and easily! I charged my phone from 50% to 100% in less than an hour. There is a small light on the side that changes from red to green when it is charging, so you have the assurance that your phone is charging without having to check it. Need to use your phone? No problem – pick it up off the charger, and simply return it to the charger when you are done. Much easier than unplugging a cord every time you send a text!

The grain on the bamboo is beautiful. I typically prefer darker woods, but the light color only adds to the well-crafted design of the charger.

Using the charger is incredibly simple. Just place your phone on the charger, with the back of the phone on the charger. Since Electro-Magnetic Induction Charging works at short distances, it is best if you take off any case you have on your phone before charging.

If your smartphone isn’t Qi Standard Enabled, don’t fret. It is easy to find a Qi-Enabled receiving pad that you can attach to your phone, and there are also phone cases that are Qi-Enabled (which you would leave on when charging.) Nunet makes some stunning Qi-Enabled cases for the iPhone 6 that are available on Amazon. I already had a Qi-Enabled Case for my iPhone 5, and it works fantastic with this charger. So even if you don’t have a Qi-Enabled smartphone, you can still use this gorgeous and useful wireless charger!

There are a lot of devices and tablets to charge in my house, so our charging cords take a beating, and we frequently have to replace them. Additionally, I dislike having to put my phone in a weird spot in my office because that is the only available plug. Plus, cords aren’t exactly the most attractive piece of technology out there. So, I eagerly started pursuing the world of wireless charging. I’ve seen some nice ones, but when I saw the sleek, futuristic look of the Wontechmi Fast Wireless Charger, I was sold.

The Wontechmi Fast Wireless Charger uses the Qi Wireless Charging Standard. It’s quite interesting how it works. You simply put your Qi-Enabled device on the charging pad, and it automatically starts charging. No pairing like with a Bluetooth device, it just automatically starts charging. A blue light appears to let you know that your device is actively charging. If your phone rings when it is charging, you can just take it off the charger and answer it, and then return it to the charger when you are done. With no wires to have to unplug from the phone itself, it is easy and fast!

The Wontechmi Fast Wireless Charger works with any Qi Standard Compatible device. These include the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung S7, Samsung s7 edge, S6 and other Standard Qi-Enabled Devices. Check the manual that came with your device, I was surprised at how many devices are Qi-Enabled.

I have an iPhone 5, which is not Qi Standard Compatible, but I picked up a Wireless Charging Receiver Case to use with my phone, and it works great. So if you have an iPhone 5 or another iPhone, you can still use the Wontechmi Fast Wireless Charger, you’ll just need to find a Qi-Enabled adapter, and there are plenty on the market.

The manual says that the device might get a little warm when charging, but in the hour or so it took my iPhone to charge, it stayed cool the entire time. This is a refreshing change over the endless Lightning Cords that I’ve had to throw out because I was uncomfortable with how hot to the touch they became.

The Wontechmi Fast Wireless Charger is quite sleek looking. There is a clear crystal ring around the black charging pad, and a black ring around the pad to keep your device from slipping. It keeps it in place quite well: I was able to move it around my desk several times and it the device didn’t budge. It plugs into a standard USB port, and can certainly be used with a USB power adapter.

I’m thrilled with this product. It looks fantastic in my office; it keeps my phone handy, and it truly does charge my device fast without overheating. iPhone Photography is fantastic. Lyn and I try to hone our iPhonography skills through Youtube tutorials and good old fashioned practice as often as we can. Frequently we take time after lunch and after work to take a stroll with the purpose of getting better at iPhonography. Eventually, if your blog does well, you will invest in a DSLR camera, but until then, it is a good idea to hone your skills on taking sharp, quality iPhone shots.

Since I don’t always have my DSLR with me, I was very happy to try out the Pixly Cell Phone Camera Accessory Bundle. This highly affordable bundle will exponentially increase the quality of your pictures. Just think of how well your blog will start doing if the quality of your pictures increases – overnight!

My biggest problem with taking pictures with my iPhone is that I accidentally move the camera as I take the picture. As light a touch as I exert, somehow I frequently end up jarring the phone just enough to make the picture blurry. This kit comes with a truly fantastic tripod to stabilize the picture It has telescopic legs so that you can adjust it to the correct height. It is easy to slide your phone in securely, and it won’t scratch your phone, as some other tripods I have tried have done. If you are taking a picture of a product, this tripod works great, as you can zoom, focus, or change the filter, so the shot is exactly the way you want it. The feet are sturdy and won’t slide around, so you don’t have to worry about the whole thing moving. There is a swivel mount on the camera, so you can tilt and angle the phone to get the perfect shot.

My second favorite part is the Bluetooth Camera Remote Shutter. If you REALLY want to make sure that you won’t get a blurry shot, this is perfect. It pairs with your phone easily and allows you to take a step back to make sure the shot is just right. It’s also great for makeup selfies or Outfit of the Day shots!

It also comes with three lenses: Macro, Fisheye, and Wide Angle. We’ve come to be reliant on apps to create these angles, but it is best to create them in the original shot. You can tweak from there, but start with the raw shot and add if needed via app. These connect easily with the universal lens clip, which fits over the camera but doesn’t occlude or lay shadows on the shot. It is also nicely padded so it doesn’t scratch your phone. And since it is universal, it fits on any phone. The lenses and the clip come in a nice fabric case that easily fits in your purse, so you can always be ready!

As much as I rely on my DSLR, I am really happy to have this kit. If you are just starting out with your blog, it is a very worthwhile small investment into getting the excellent pictures you need for your blog!

Vanity Table: Smarson Bluetooth LED Light Bulb

Ever thought your makeup was perfectly natural looking at home, only to be shocked at how garish it looks in the bathroom mirror at the office?

Me too.

To prevent such shocks and actually know how you will look during the day, it is good to check your makeup in different kinds of lighting. Hopefully, you will be in more flattering lighting, you will likely be in worse lighting sometime during the day, but your vanity lighting is likely a more flattering light than you will encounter during the day. So an adjustable light is a great thing to have on a makeup table.

I like Smarson Bluetooth LED Light Bulb for this purpose. As the name would indicate, it is a LED Light Bulb with Bluetooth connectivity. Better yet, it can be used in any standard socket – I’m able to use it in my great-grandmother’s table lamp that is already on my vanity table.

The features of the bulb are controlled by the Smarson App, which is available for both iOS and Android. It is a free download, and it is both easy to set up and highly intuitive.

I have the Phillips Hue system, but there is so much more flexibility with the Smarson Light Bulb system. Additionally, the quality of the light is much better: with the Smarson system, the colors are deep and rich, and can be subtly tweaked to whatever lighting scheme you are seeking.

First, you can pick the color from a color wheel of 16 million colors, and then change the brightness of the colors. There are pre-programmed functions like cross-fade for dynamic color shows.

Second, there is a programmable timer feature. Want to fall asleep to a certain soothing color? Want to have a bright light in the house when you get home from work? You can program all of that quickly right from the app.

Third, this is an energy saving bulb. I am amazed that so many features and such powerful lighting are built into an energy efficient device!

I adore the camera feature, which allows you to take a picture of an object, and the light will match it. It is great if you are looking to coordinate your outfit, or you want to check how you will look in a particular light.

I am impressed by the amount of deeply saturated light that the one bulb produced. For events such as a wedding, consider purchasing enough of these bulbs to illuminate your venue if you can decorate the space yourself. Find a friend with a good eye to control the lights throughout the event. Since each light can be controlled individually from the app, you can create different lighting schemes for different areas, or change them all at once (the app can control five lights at a time.) You can change the lights through the night, with various colors for the meal, dancing, cake, etc. A professional lighting team would cost thousands, and you can use these bulbs yourself after the event. You can even sync the lighting to your music, which is a great feature.
