I picked Sage Green and Royal Blue for this time of year because the Sage Green is still a little Summery, but is also a little Autumnal. They go gorgeously with the richness of the Royal Blue pillowcases! And when it comes to pillowcases, you can never go wrong with crisp white!

The fabric feels really good too. This month has been a little crazy temperate-wise, so I’ve gotten to experience them on both weather extremes. On hot nights there are cool and don’t cling to your face (I hate that!), and on cold nights they provide warmth thanks to the microfiber!

And after a couple of washings, they are getting softer but are staying just as strong and fresh looking! They haven’t faded or gotten thinner, as some linens tend to do. The no-fade feature is a perk since the pillowcases set comes in so many lovely, vibrant colors.

The only thing I would like different about the pillowcase sets is that the packaging is a little tight for four pillowcases, so there were some creases that I had to gently iron out when I first used them. It’s a very small thing, but it would be nice to have them arrive crease-free, especially if I was giving them as a gift.

The other day my dermatologist was showing the latest feature of her skin analysis machine: the bacteria analyzer. There is both good and bad bacteria on everyone’s face, and she was impressed at how low my bad bacteria score was. There are a lot of ways that bacteria gets on your face: touching your face with your hands, not changing out your pillowcase enough, but a big one is dirty makeup brushes. A good set of makeup brushes can be a big investment, and many cleaning methods can be rough on the fine hairs of a brush. Lammcou understands this and has developed a system to thoroughly wash and dry your brushes using only mild soap and water.

Here’s how it works best for us:

1) Find the collar that properly fits your makeup brush and insert the end of the brush handle into the collar. Attach it to the MiraCleaner.

2) Fill the bowl halfway with soap and water.

The soap holder itself is 4.3″ by 3.1″ by 0.9 inches and accommodates larger bars. I washed my hands with a handmade soap that contains a great deal of Shea Butter and essential oils. This particular handmade soap bar tends to get mushy with use and takes a long time to dry.
