May 7, 2021 · 3 Comments

REVIEW: Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture

Good sleep is essential for physical and mental alertness. Studies show CBN is helpful for sleep, stress, and pain. CBN combines some of the best benefits of hemp without the “high” or other side effects. But CBN is a hard-to-find cannabinoid. The Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture offers the benefits of CBN in a third-party lab-tested, easy-to-absorb, effective formulation.

Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture gives restful sleep

Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture gives restful sleep

Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture by Right Wellness Co offers the benefits of CBN in a third-party lab-tested, easy-to-absorb, effective formulation. Many find CBD to be a helpful natural and safe sleep remedy. Research studies show it has excellent health and beauty applications. But CBD is not the best that Cannabis has to offer.

Cannabis contains over 140 phytocannabinoids. [1] One of the promising cannabinoids found in cannabis is cannabinol, often referred to as CBN. This rare cannabinoid has unique properties that are proving to be more potent desirable for consumers.

What is CBN?

About Cannabinol

What is CBN?

CBN comes from mature Hemp plants

CBN comes from mature Hemp plants

You may have read about CBN in Forbes or Healthline. The sleep benefits of CBN have even been discussed by Sleep Doctor.

CBN is Cannabinol. Cannabinol is a cannabinoid produced in cannabis and hemp. CBN is an oxidative product of THC; that is, THC slowly turns into CBN when exposed to heat and light. [2]. CBN is found in mature cannabis plants, which makes it a rarer cannabinoid. It is available in only small quantities, and it is difficult to extract.

THC has sleep and pain relief properties. It also gives the “high” associated with cannabis. Whereas CBN has the benefits of THC but doesn’t give the high or other negative side effects. [3] This makes CBN a valuable natural resource because it doesn’t have the side effect profile of other natural sedative agents such as melatonin.

This formula contains 600mg of pure CBN

The Promising CBN Research

THC gives a high because it binds to certain receptors in the nervous system. CBN also binds to these receptors, but with only about one-tenth the strength of THC.[4]

Because of this, there is no high and no paranoia when taking CBN.[5] Rather, it serves as a gentle sedative. CBN also reduces inflammation-based pain, which can disrupt sleep. Taking CBN is an advantage over other natural sleep remedies because it doesn’t require supplementing melatonin and gives a gentle sedative effect.[6] One study found CBN resulted in a significant prolongation of sleeping time. [7]

CBN Uses

Studies show CBN can be useful for difficulties with:

  • Pain
  • Sleep
  • Stress
Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture

Made from Hemp:  Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture is made by a special CBN extraction process using organically grown hemp in Oregon farms

Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture Benefits

CBN is rare because it is only in mature plants, and it is difficult to extract. Typically one would have to take a broad-spectrum formulation to get CBN. But that means getting all the other cannabinoids that don’t support restful sleep.

Right Relief Hemp CBN Tincture is 100% free of THC and other unwanted materials.

Right Wellness uses proprietary technology to extract pure CBN and process it for effective delivery. They take crude hemp oil and age it to convert it to CBN. They then purify and isolate the CBN through column chromatography, distillation, and isolation. [8] This creates an exceptionally pure CBN.

The product is independently tested at each step of the process to ensure purity and that it is free of pesticides, solvents, and heavy metals.

What Makes Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream Special

March 7, 2021 · 1 Comment

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream PRODUCT REVIEW. We tested and researched the ingredients.

Unlike most Vitamin C creams, Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream’s potent anti-aging punch is delivered in a formula that offers extreme hydration. And it comes with an adorable little bamboo spoon to hygienically scoop out just the right amount for face and throat. Check out the synergistic actives in this brilliant formulation.
Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

About Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream is filled with 19 synergistic actives!

It delivers three bio-available Vitamin C’s. Together these three Vitamin C’s give the full spectrum of what C has to offer.

The three Vitamin C’s are:

  • Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate. It is ideal for sensitive skin. It is less exfoliating but produces collagen and suppresses discoloration.
  • Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate absorbs deeply and works well with other Cs.
  • Ascorbyl Glucoside is a stable C. It offers antioxidant protection, collagen boosting, and fading hyperpigmentation.[1]

Along with this trio of C’s, Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream contains multiple anti-aging superstars such as Reishi and Cloudberry.

Cloudberry Cloudberry has four times the Vitamin C of an orange. It builds collagen, fights off attacks on collagen, reduces wrinkles, and hydrates.

The Experience

It is a rich, creamy, and spreadable texture that dries down smooth and not sticky or tacky.

The smooth texture of Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream is tempting to slather, but it is a treating cream, so just use the spoonful.

It does not sting. But when I applied it, I could tell it was potent.

Reishi mushroom

Reishi mushroom

Reishi mushroom promotes cell regeneration while reducing skin inflammation, puffiness, and wrinkles.

Tips & Tricks: How to Best Use Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Don’t layer other products with Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream.

If you MUST add a top layer, make sure it is a cream with no extra treating actives.

But there are plenty of soothing moisturizers in this formula so you likely will not need any secondary products with this cream.

Turmeric Turmeric extract is an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant that helps reduce and heal acne. It also reduces skin discoloration.

Review: Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil. Just three oils, Kukui, Tamanu and Raspberries to the Rescue!

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil is a beauty trifecta. This golden oil goes on dry. It can be a finishing oil to seal in your nighttime skincare.

The benefits include:

  • it can increase collagen and soothe irritation
  • the oils boast unique fatty acids profiles
  • contain tons of nutrients and vitamins
  • can rejuvenate deeper layers of the skin
Kat Burki Power Trio Oil

Kat Burki Power Trio radiance oil contains raspberry seed oil

Kat Burki Power Trio Oil is Step No. 5 In The Kat Burki 5 Essential Steps For Healthy Skin. It still imparts impressive results when used alone.

What We Love About Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil gets the job done with a combination of just three oils. There are no additives and it is not watered down. A little bit goes a long way.
Kat Burki Power Trio Oil is a combo of three oils including raspberry seed oil

Kat Burki Power Trio Oil is a combo of three oils including raspberry seed oil

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil uses Raspberry seed oil which is filled with skin nourishing, collagen-building nutrients. It is gentle yet effective in addressing many skin issues.

Let’s take a look at the amazing properties of these three oils:

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil Ingredient Profile

Raspberry Oil is rich in Ellagic acid, a wrinkle-reducing polyphenol compound

Raspberry Oil is rich in Ellagic acid, a wrinkle-reducing polyphenol compound

Red Raspberry Seed Oil

Red Raspberry Seed Oil moisturizes the skin, improves elasticity, and reduces wrinkles and fine lines. It contains multiple vitamins and nutrients that are wonderful for the skin.

Some benefits of Raspberry Oil are:

Raspberry Oil is rich in Ellagic acid, a wrinkle-reducing polyphenol compound

Raspberry

  • Red Raspberry Seed Oil contains phytosterols. Phytosterols promote new collagen production.
  • Red Raspberry Seed Oil is rich in ellagic acid and has been shown to reduce the destruction of collagen, reduce wrinkles as well as protect against Ultraviolet damage from the sun. [1]
  • Ellagic acid is also a natural moisture sealant.
  • Red Raspberry seed oil has a high Vitamin E content. Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant, it reduces skin damage and removes free radicals that contribute to skin aging.
  • Red raspberry seed oil contains a high amount of Omega-6 and Omega-3 essential fatty acids.
  • Raspberry Seed Oil contains Salicylic Acid to tackle adult acne and build collagen.

kukui Nut Oil

This oil does something unusual. It can penetrate into the deeper skin layers. This is exciting since it can promote collagen production. The deeper the skin can make collagen, the firmer it looks.

It is a dry oil yet is highly emollient. It creates a protective layer.

Rich in Omega-3s, it replenishes fleshly washed skin after the irritation of cleansers and makeup removers.

It contains skin-refining vitamins A, C, and E.  A and C can be harsh on the skin. But Kukui Nut has such great softening and buffering properties that it makes C and A accessible to those with sensitive skin or skin conditions like eczema.

It reduces inflammation, treats wounds and burns, and soothes conditions like eczema.

tamanu oil

Tamanu Oil is called Green Gold because of its’ versatile skin and hair beauty uses. The oil comes from the Tamanu Tree found in Polynesia.

Tamanu

Tamanu

Tamanu oil is used for cosmetic and topical applications. It is primarily used where anti-inflammatory properties are beneficial. Tamanu Oil research supports using Tamanu Oil for the healing of burns, scars, and some skin diseases. [2]

Both anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, Tamanu Oil is used for skin conditions such as:

  • acne scars
  • burns
  • eczema
  • psoriasis
  • flaky, scaly or dry skin.

Tamanu Oil has a unique fatty acid profile.

One unusual fatty acid called calophyllic acid. Research studies show it has wound healing, safety, and antibacterial properties [3,4].

This supports the anecdotal reports of the skin improvement seen with the traditional use of Tamanu Oil for scars, burns, and stretch marks.

Tamanu Oil comes from the nuts of the Tamanu Tree

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil

The Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil Experience

Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil is not watery but not thick. It is more of a dry oil feel.

It spreads well and leaves skin with a non-sticky, non-greasy glow. Seals in skincare products without pilling.

It only takes a few drops to cover the face, throat, and upper decolletage.

I can smell the Kukui nut but it dissipates after a few minutes. Once it dries down it doesn’t stain my pillowcase.

My skin is softer and seems clearer and more refined in the morning after use. The tone on my neck looks better. It locks in moisture even on moisture-robbing hot nights with air conditioning.

How to Use Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask

February 2, 2021 · 1 Comment

Review + Guide How to Use Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask

You know those skincare serums we faithfully apply? They can’t work their magic if our skin isn’t exfoliated. But exfoliation often leaves skin too dry and irritated to apply your serums. Stop this vicious cycle by using an exfoliating product that gently removes dead skin cells while leaving skin smooth and hydrated. Meet Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask, a cocktail of renowned ancient beauty remedies used by Japanese women to enhance skin naturally and gently.
Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask polishes instead of scrubs the skin

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask polishes instead of scrubs the skin

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask contains natural exfoliators that refine skin, sloughing off the dry, sluggish dull skin and leaving skin SO smooth and hydrated.

Mad Hippie 2-Minute Polishing Mask

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask

WHY EXFOLIATION IS NECESSARY

Exfoliation smooths the appearance of the skin and is helpful in reducing acne formation as it removes dead skin cells that can harbor bacteria in clogged pores.

Exfoliation also enables actives to penetrate the skin to work optimally.

Mad Hippie 2-Minute Polishing Mask comes in a powder that is mixed with water

But as we age, our skin becomes less able to tolerate rubbing and scrubbing. Rubbing and scrubbing aren’t great at any age but is especially problematic after age thirty. Mad Hippie addresses this with a non-abrasive form of exfoliation: skin polishing.

Mad Hippie contains natural, effective ingredients to exfoliate skin without damaging it

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing mask Benefits

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask is filled with beauty secrets – ingredients used in Japan for centuries for beautiful glowing skin.

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Mask contains several ingredients renowned for pampering skin

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Mask contains several ingredients renowned for pampering skin

Let’s take a look at the ingredients behind this innovative exfoliation:

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask Ingredients

rice bran

Rice Bran

Organic Rice Bran

Also known as Oryza Sativa. Rice Bran has been used in Japan for centuries.  It is rich in ceramides and Vitamins A B, and Tocotrienols, the “super” vitamin E.   It promotes hydration, reduces pigmentation, and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Rice Bran comes from the outer husk of rice grains.  These hydrate skin and help maintain elasticity.  It naturally keeps skin hydrated and glowing.

Rice Bran also contains Gamma Oryzanol, a Ferulic Acid ester that is an anti-aging antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage.[1]

Rich in antioxidants, such as beta-carotene, CoQ10, and lycopene.

Mad Hippie 2-Minute Polishing Mask uses Adzuki Seeds

Phaseolus Angularis, Adzuki Seeds

Adzuki Seed Powder

Adzuki Seed Powder, AKA Phaseolus Angularis, is another Japanese beauty secra et.

The Adzuki Seed is a bean. When ground, it makes a powder. These ground beans are a natural exfoliant. They are not sharp or jagged like exfoliating nutshells seen in some products, but they sure get the job done.

Kaolin

Kaolin is White Clay. White clay is a mild exfoliant that unclogs pores.

Suitable for all skin types, it is ideal for mature skin. It clarifies and refines skin while reducing pore size.

Illite

Illite is Green Clay. It soaks up excess oils, purifies, and balances the pH of the skin.

Illite can be drying, so it is ideal in a formulation with soothing hydrators like this one.

Mad Hippie 2-Minute Polishing Mask contains matcha powder

Matcha powder

Organic Matcha Green Tea

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract is better known as matcha green tea.

Matcha contains concentrated green tea benefits including the reduction of inflammation or irritation.

Green tea has polyphenols. Polyphenols soothe skin and provide antioxidants. Polyphenols may improve sun-damaged skin. [2]

Matcha is loaded with Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which promotes skin health and appearance. It protects against environmental damage and neutralizes free radicals that prematurely age skin. Research shows EGCG reactivates dying skin cells. This shows promise for repairing sun damage and scar healing. [3]

Matcha also contains chlorophyll, a natural anti-bacterial that removes excess oil.

Organic Oat Flower

Oat Flower

Organic Oat Flower

The oat floret. Oat flower is a skin-soothing hydrator.

It pairs well in this formulation to offset the potential drying effect of the clays.

Steam Distilled Citrus Aurantium Dulcis

Better known as Sweet Orange Peel Oil.

 Sweet Orange Peel Oil

Sweet Orange Peel Oil

Orange Peel has double the Vitamin C of the fleshly fruit.

The bacteria-fighting and inflammation reduction properties reduce acne without excess skin drying.

It fights free radicals, removes blackheads, and reduces wrinkles. It is an ideal ingredient for face masks and scrubs.

The Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask Experience

The texture is different from other exfoliants. I expected the grains would be rough. But it is not.

The Adzuki Seed Powder isnt a hard grain. But it can remove dead skin. It is more of an easy buff than gritty scrub.  The clays make a creamy base. It is a very gentle dead skin removal that leaves skin clean but not irritated. It lives up to the name of a “polish”. The skin is not scrubbed off, it is refined and smoothed.

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask

Massage into the skin with small, gentle circles for two minutes. There is no need to rub.

Mix the powder with water for quick yet gentle exfoliation

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask close up

Mad Hippie 2 Minute Polishing Mask close up

I particularly like how it loosens up stubborn blackheads in my t-zone.

It took some trial and error to get my water to powder ratio just right. It was easiest to mix in a small bowl to make a wet paste.

Stay tuned for upcoming coverage of these Mad Hippie goodies!
