Volto Urbano Moisturizing Blue Oil How to Fight Skin Stress

October 30, 2020 · 4 Comments

REVIEW: Volto Urbano Moisturizing Blue Oil How to Fight Skin Stress

Environmental stressors accelerate skin aging. So we are excited about Volto Urbano, an innovative brand with skincare formulations based on peer-reviewed research. The result is barrier-repairing, restorative skin care that combats external aging factors. Today we look at Volto Urbano Moisturizing Blue Oil, a K-Beauty philosophy wonder invented stateside. This lightweight, restorative, go-to oil packed with skin-enhancing goodness.
Moisturizing Blue Oil is a natural shade of translucent lapis blue

About our Exposome
Our skin has seen some things. Bad things.

We know sun exposure damages (and ages) skin. Research reveals environmental stressors are also a significant oxidative factor. Turns out, skin aging is more influenced by extrinsic than intrinsic processes.[1]

Our “Exposome” is the collective experiences our skin sustains which results in accelerated aging and damage.

In a review of environmental studies evidence, European scientists, specializing in environmental medicine and/or skin biology concluded that air pollution, UV radiation, frigid temperatures, dust, dry air, tobacco smoke exposure, and even our cosmetics and skincare can take a collective environmental toll on the skin.[2]

Skin experts conclude “the skin aging exposome consists of external and internal factors and their interactions, affecting a human individual from conception to death as well as the response of the human body to these factors that lead to biological and clinical signs of skin aging.”[3]

Studies also show air pollution can also make existing skin conditions, like atopic dermatitis, even worse. [4]

But you can fight back.

Finding the Right Skincare For Your Environment

Products to counteract environmental impacts may work well in one location but be unsuitable for another.  Skincare needs in a cold, dusty, rural area are very different than a hot, humid, polluted city.

Many K-beauty oils masterfully address environmental concerns in certain environmental conditions. But these oils are often too heavy and oily for stateside use.

If you are concerned about the impact of environmental stressors, you have probably tried a few products. If K-beauty oils are too heavy for your skin, Volto Urbano Moisturizing Blue Oil is a lightweight but highly effective oil option.

Volto Urbano uses only research-backed ingredients to fight environmental skin damage

The Experience

Volto Urbano Moisturizing Blue Oil is a light oil, despite some rich ingredients. It doesn’t feel greasy or tacky. Just a few drops leave even dry skin smooth while quelling redness and irritation. My skin just drinks it in and it dries down to a silky finish.

Rich in Vitamins A and C, it counteracts environmental damage without drying or irritating skin.

It can be applied directly to facial skin or mixed in with your favorite cream.

Moisturizing Blue Oil really shines in hot humid weather. New England is experiencing record high temperatures. This hot, sticky weather is paired with moisture depleting air conditioning. We especially love that Moisturizing Blue Oil is a protective, hydrating barrier without feeling at all heavy on the skin. Skin looks refined, plumped, and dewy.

Only a few drops of this lightweight oil are needed. The oil has a natural lapis blue hue. This is due to the chamomile derived, skin-soothing Guaiazulene.  Let’s take a closer look at Moisturizing Blue Oil’s researched-backed, skin-loving ingredients:

Jojoba Seed Oil

Jojoba Seed Oil

Simmondsia Chinensis Seed oil

Jojoba oil is an emollient, made of 98% monounsaturated fats.

  • Jojoba gives elasticity and softness to hair.

The Way of Nature Elara Keratin Hair Mask Experience

Nourishing Hair Mask

The Mask

Texture

It is a very thick cream. Thicker and richer than a curd or custard consistency. Not at all greasy or slimy.

Warm and rub it between your hands first to apply it to wet hair. About a tablespoon was enough for my almost bra strap length hair. It spreads well and has a nice slick.

The masque is thick, creamy, and rich. A little goes a long way

Use in the shower and let it sink in for 5-7 minutes. It also works wonderfully steamed in with my facial steamer. Rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle. It rinses away clean without a residue.

It comes with a sturdy inner seal to keep the mask fresh.

scent

There is a pleasant aromatic scent. It lingers a bit even after rinsing.

result

Hair feels smoother, thicker, and much stronger. It looks so healthy and shiny!

The Way of Nature Elara Keratin Treatment Oil Experience

The Treatment Oil

I like to shake it well and warm a few drops between my hands and smooth it over my hair. It is filled with hair growing nutrients and makes for a marvelous restorative scalp massage!

The bottle has a sealed inverted dropper top to reduce waste, only dispense what you need.

It leaves my coarse hair looking smoother and shiny.

Check out this natural yet effective ingredient list:

What Are Mad Hippie Mineral Mascara Ingredients?

Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17

Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is a combination peptide that helps lashes grow. It delivers Keratin proteins to eyelashes and eyebrows.

Keratin is a building block of eyelash hairs.  When lashes are healthy, they can grow longer. When nourished, lashes also look softer. Testing shows that this results in an increase in lash thickness and growth.

Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 guides cell growth and growth factor secretion. This can thicken and enhance the appearance of lashes and eyebrows. It makes them look thicker and fuller.

Sweet Almond Oil conditions lashes

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet Almond Oil is a light oil, it contains proteins and vitamins A, B, D, and E.

It provides protection and shines to even fine, lackluster lashes.

Sweet Almond Oil protects delicate lashes and combats brittleness. Brittleness a huge barrier to meaningful lash growth.

It also gives lashes a natural sheen.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E conditions dry and brittle lashes.

Within a mascara formulation, it can condition the lash without clogging the lash root.

Rice Bran

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax

Otyza Sativa comes from Rice Bran. This provides a mascara base. It is also an emollient softening agent because of its natural fatty acids, squalene, and phospholipids.

Because it has a high melting point, it helps mascara not flake or smudge. It is also not an eye irritant like Beeswax can be for sensitive eyes.

Glycerin

Glycerin is a natural humectant derived from plants. It helps lashes retain precious moisture and appear slightly plumper.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Seeds

Jojoba Seeds

Jojoba Oil is an emollient, made of 98% monounsaturated fats so it can penetrate the hair follicle.  It gives elasticity and softness to hair including eyelashes.

Why Use a Hair Straightener Brush for Better Hair Styling

REVIEW: Why Use a Hair Straightener Brush for Better Hair Styling featuring BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush

Love smooth, straight hairstyles but hate hair damage? The BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush quickly straightens hair in a fast, safe and hair-healthy way. It uses Ionic technology to reduce frizz and lock in moisture. It straightens my curly, waist-length hair in under 15 minutes!
Hair Straightener Brush

BeKind Straightener Brush comes with many hair tools to help you get professional styling results at home

The BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush uses ion technology for frizz-free, healthier hair. The brush combines ionic heat with ceramic bristles to reduce heat damage. It won’t scald hair with hot spots

Why It Is Special

BeKind engineers spent six months developing this easy-to-use hair straightener brush. It uses two proven methods to straighten hair with the least stress and damage.

ionic technology

An anion is a negatively charged ion. BeKind uses ion technology in the form of an Upgraded Anion Generator. By producing countless negative ions that pass over the hair, it removes static electricity. Meanwhile, it styles hair without drawing away moisture. The result is frizz-free, healthier hair.

Ionic technology lends towards a stronger, longer-lasting style that is shinier and sleeker.

MCH Heating Technology

MCH stands for metal-ceramic heater. Ceramic provides a constant & stable heat without burning the hair surface. It won’t overheat like aluminum metal flat iron plates. The heat stays even and hair doesn’t get scorched. Hair won’t snag or stick to the coated bristles.

Ceramic also requires less time to style hair so there is less risk of damaging hair.

Hair Straightener Brush

No snag bristles smooth hair without tugging on it.

My Experience

The BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush heats up quickly and is easy to use with a simple one-button scrolling control design.

A Hair Straightener Brush is quick to heat up to the desired temperature setting

It is quick to heat up to the desired temperature setting

While it heats up, I use the included brush, pins, and clips to brush and section off my dry hair. Smaller sections give the smoothest results.

The BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush is lightweight and ergonomically designed. Even when I hold it overhead, it doesn’t tire out my arms while styling. I love getting professional hair salon results at home quickly and without hair damage.

It doesn’t overheat or scald hair. I find it safer to use than a curling or flat iron. The included silicone glove prevents burning my hand during use.

The carrying case keeps all the accessories together. It is so lightweight and portable that it is ideal for travel or for last-minute touchups.

When my curly hair is straightened, the slightest bit of moisture ruins my style. This is perfect for quick touchups to keep a blowout looking fresh.

results

BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush gets fast results even on long hair. I can straighten my naturally curly waist-length hair in less than fifteen minutes without causing hair damage.

I can also use it to straighten the length of my hair and then wrap my hair around the brush to curl my hair ends. The BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush leaves my hair smooth and bouncy.

The BeKind Anion Hair Straightener Brush gives hair salon level style that is smooth, sleek, and healthy!
