About GOOP GOOPGLOW 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel
While I love glycolic acid, I didn’t see what would be so special about THIS glycolic acid pad versus other glycolic acid peels available at a fraction of the price.
Boy was I surprised to see what a refined result GOOP GLOW gives!
This is likely due to the notable ingredient lineup and the design of the peel pad itself.
With aHA, there is almost never the uneven peeling that often comes with many chemical peels or scrubs, so there is less post-peel downtime with AHA. Skin is just soft and dewy looking, not red and irritated.
While skin can get red and irritated from AHA, as long as it is done properly, irritation will be short-lived, so it makes for an excellent anti-aging product.
First, let’s take a look at the ingredients paired with aHA in GOOP GLOW:
Key Ingredients
Glycolic Acid (AHA)
15% AHA, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid from sugar cane. With an AHA peel, it loosens the “glue” that holds dead skin cells without scrubbing or rubbing the skin.
There is also a light version with 5% AHA, a much gentler approach ideal for skin that uses topicals such as Retinol or super sensitive skin types.
Australian Kakadu Plum
Kakadu plums are the highest natural source of vitamin C to support collagen synthesis and provide antioxidant support. It reduces acne, fades scars, and reduces fine lines.
Kakadu plums are also high in gallic acid and ellagic acid to fight free radicals, hydrate the skin and prevent the skin from damage.

Mangifera Indica Pulp Extract
Also known as Mango.
Mango is an emollient. It is rich in fatty acids. This keeps skin hydrated and nourished.
Mango extract also contains Vitamins C, A, E, K, and B6.
Mango Seed Extract is high in copper. Copper supports Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid production in the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid Trio
This formula contains three molecular sizes of Hyaluronic Acid to provide optimal hydration.
Glycerin
Glycerin is a natural vegetable-derived humectant. It helps skin hold moisture. Glycerin fills in gaps in dryer skin which makes skin look better. It also keeps the outer skin layer intact.
Musa sapientum (Banana) Pulp Extract
Banana extract is anti-inflammatory[1], antibiotic, and anti-oxidant. [2]
Zizyphus Jujuba Seed Extract
Also known as Chinese date. It is in the buckthorn family and acts like jojoba.

Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil
Lavender Oil softens the skin.
Lavender’s anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties keep skin healthy. It has soothing properties to calm inflammation, dry skin and flaking.
The GOOP GOOPGLOW 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel Experience
This is a dual-sided pad. It has an exfoliative basket-weave texture side and a smooth side.

The dual-layer design has a finger pocket. It is useful for an even, clean application.
Each pad is in a sealed packet. These pads are well-saturated.
One pad treats my face, décolletage, collarbone, and neck. I also used it on my hands.
I experienced no redness or irritation in the morning.
Two days later, I had very light peeling on the sides of my nose. The stubborn side-of-the-nose-blackheads reduced.
A few days after that my whiteheads started to purge.
