Product Review: Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror

February 4, 2016 · Leave a Comment

I was recently sent the Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror for review. It comes with a razor holder, a hook with a sticky adhesive side to hold the mirror and the mirror itself.
At first I was disappointed that the mirror was not a heavier glass mirror, but the reflection is actually very clear and crisp. Legitimately, it is better to not have an actual heavy glass in the shower, especially considering the fact that I’m a bit clumsy in the morning (well, all day, but especially the morning) and I can see myself reaching for my shampoo and knocking a heavy glass mirror and it shattering on the floor, which would really not be good. The adhesion is excellent, once it is placed on the surface, I don’t think this is going anywhere even when exposed to moisture (but apply it when the shower surface is dry when installing). This is superior to so many of the shower mirrors out there that just have a suction cup to adhere it to the wall. And it took less than a minute to set up, which is a lot better than shower mirrors that install with hardware!
FOR THE GUYS:  The benefit of a fogless mirror in the shower for the guys is obvious to be able to shave in the shower for both convenience/speed and to take advantage of opening the pores and softening the hair shaft for a nice, close, smooth shave, and it keeps the sink clean from shaving cream and shaved off hair clean-up. It is also nice to have a razor that becomes warm and hydrated in the shower and can air-dry on its holder and stay clean, sanitary, and rust-free.
FOR THE LADIES: Some benefits of a fogless shower mirror for the ladies are being able to tweeze eyebrows or any unwanted facial hairs while the follicles are steamed and opened, making tweezing easier, to be able to see your face during any product applications such as facial masks or scrubs, to check thoroughly for unwanted armpit hair that needs to be shaved, and my personal favorite, using it with my Clarisonic skin care brush. Since the Clarisonic can be used in the shower, I like to be able to see that I am using it evenly and assess areas with blackheads that could use another once over.
Now here is my favorite part: from the point of turning off the water in the shower, as a rule of thumb, one has three minutes to capture that optimal window of applying moisturizer to skin before skin starts drying out, so I like to apply my face moisturizer before I step out of the shower and having a fogless mirror in the shower is a nice way to do that.
The Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror is a great choice as a shower mirror as it stays clear and fog-free, is shatterproof, and strongly adheres to the shower wall. I’m really glad I to have tried it!
Find it at Amazon.com.

After steaming my pores open with some fresh Eucalyptus under the shower stream, I took my trusty Clarisonic to my face in the clear view of the Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror

Disclosure: I was sent this product for free in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

Product Review: Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask

November 29, 2011 · 1 Comment

Ah, nothing like autumn. The leaves falling, the luxurious fabrics, and your face getting raw from that first day that it is freezing, rainy, and windy. This year, I took care of that last part.

Smoothing on a Facial Mask like Liz Earle Nourishing Treatment MaskI’ve known about Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask for awhile  but did not test it out until a few weeks ago. I love the Liz Earle line, and I adore their Brightening Mask, so I was keen to try the Nourishing Treatment Mask when it was sent to me.

Liz Earle Intenstive Nourishing Treatment Mask is fantastic. It makes skin sooooo soft and evens out skintone issues due to dryness/redness in ten minutes flat. I love that you can move around in the mask too – it’s not like many facial masks that if you move, goop is going to get everywhere. It stays in place while you talk, move around, or just sit back with your eyes closed.

On cold morning when I’d rather stay under the warm covers, I’ve taken to negotiating with myself – I keep the mask on my nightstand, and when the alarm goes off and the urge to go back to sleep hits, I smooth the mask on. It feels good, so being awake is a little more tolerable. And it eventually gets me out of bed since I have to wash it off in 10-15 minutes.

I’m also a big fan of what Nourishing Treatment Mask does for throat skin – the mask makes throat skin soft, smooth and radiant. If you are in your early thirties, throat skin is one of those thing that you don’t notice as not looking like it did when you were 18 until you do something about it, and then you remember how good an area like your throat looked when you were younger. Much like foundation, facial masks shouldn’t stop at your jawline – make sure to give your thin neck skin the good treatment you give your face. And since Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask contains Borage Oil to hydrate, it’s an ideal mask for throat and neck use!

The mask comes with one of Liz Earle’s amazing muslin cloths to wash it off with. I adore these muslin clothes – I would fill my closet with them if I could! They remove the mask cleanly and gently.

I really like using the mask after at-home glycolic peels. It hydrates the freshly exposed skin and soothes any irritation. And given that glycolic peels aren’t Then just wash it off, apply moisturizer, and admire your radiant skin!

Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask really is fantastic. I really love the Liz Earle line, so expectations are always high when I try a new product of theirs. Nourishing Treatment Mask exceeded my expectations and I’ll definitely continue to use it…especially on mornings that require extreme self-negotiation to get up…
