Touchups on the go: The Going Dancing “Showstopper” wrist purse

How many beauty products do you have in your purse? And when it comes down to it, how many do you actually use on a regular basis? Yeah, me too. Ever end up carrying your whole purse somewhere where you don’t need it? Yeah, me too.

Now granted, going purse-free is a daunting prospect for a makeup loving gal. There are just certain products that if you ended up stranded in on the Lost island or Wonderland that you’d want to have with you. And a fanny pack just isn’t going to work in Wonderland.

We tried the Going Dancing Showstopper wrist purse, which has an impressive amount of room for the size, and comes in a variety of patterns and textures. We were able to fit “the necessities” and still had room for an iPod, ID, and a couple of credit cards. It’s especially useful for working out – it fits a tube of sunscreen (for reapplication) and an iPod, and also fits great on your upper arm.

Past Summer Tips from Style Chicks – part 1

One of the great things about writing for Style Chicks is that I can frequently find new uses for products that one of us have written about in the past. If it’s stashed away in a draw, I might forget about it, but cruising through past articles and looking at old swatches often leads me to start using a product again – it’s like recycling, but with your own stuff. 🙂

I was thinking today that I needed to locate a great lip color that didn’t look or feel too heavy on in this heat (and wouldn’t melt off). And when I saw BeingTrue’s twitter post about one of their great glosses, I immediately knew that BeingTrue’s Sheer Lip Shine in Aglow was the shade I was looking for in this heat. And to keep cool and keep your makeup looking dewy, don’t forget about the iTech Energy Water System. My mom is going to a wedding this weekend, and I’m going to send mine along with her so her makeup doesn’t end up completely melted by appetizers. I’ve been in a pink shoe mood recently (well, not just recently…), and these BCBG MAX AZRIA Women’s Natalya Sandals are great for this one day it’s boiling, one day it’s a bit chilly time of year. They have enough coverage for milder days, and open enough for hot days. Plus, the mid-blush/pinkish beigeÂ color is neutral enough to go with most outfits.
