The sheets are a fabric blend of 40% rayon made from bamboo and 60% microfiber polyester. The microfiber feels silky, and the bamboo feels very soft. Bamboo sounds like it would be scratchy and uncomfortable, but it makes for soft, durable fabric that is hypoallergenic and very comfortable to sleep upon.

So soft and silky smooth to the touch!

ABOUT BAMBOO IN BEDDING

If you have found microfiber comfortable to sleep on but flimsy and unable to withstand washing, you will like this set because it has the soft combed comfort of microfiber, but the Bamboo makes them durable. They hold up to laundering in the washer and dryer without frayed stitching, fading or shrinkage. The elastic retains its’ strong tension springy-ness without stretching out or fraying even after washing and drying.

The sheets are also stain and wrinkle resistant.

The properties of bamboo make for an excellent bedding fabric because of its’ softness, strength, durability, anti-microbial and ability to keep a hypoallergenic environment that is as clean as possible.

HOW THEY FIT THE BED

In addition to how soft and durable these sheets are, one of my favorite features of this Cosy House Collection sheet set is that the elastic on the fitted bottom sheet is so durable. It is elasticized all around, so it stays put on my deep pillowtop mattress all night without needing to refit the bottom sheet again each morning. The deep pocket fitted bottom sheet is 39″ x 75″ and easily fits on oversize mattresses or mattresses with an egg crate, foam or another mattress topper that is up to 16″ deep in total. There is also a bit of stretchy give.

Another feature I like is how the pillowcases have a special fold-over design to secure the pillow inside the case so that the pillow does not slip out during the night.

Bib&Sola Hand Blown Glass Water Decanter

This is a hand blown artisan glass water decanter. It has a vibrant, opaque infusion of color. I chose the blue to match the decor of my office. My office is very arid to forced heat and air conditioning, as well as the environment of the computers and equipment. My eyes and skin feel dry quickly. I got this decanter to remind myself to drink enough water during the day and thought it would be nice to have something stylish on my desk for some artistic flare that coordinates with my office decor, which has accents of cobalt and lapis blue as well as other artisan glass pieces.

The decanter itself is heavy enough to not accidentally knock over (as I have accidentally done from time to time with Perrier bottles) yet not so heavy that it is hard to lift. The lip on the mouth makes for easy pouring, and it does not splash

It does not come with the drinking glass; those are sold separately. However, plain or coordinating artisan glassware (such as the one I have in the picture) is easy enough to obtain on websites such as Etsy. They are also easy to paint yourself with glass painting kits. There are some bubbles in the colored glass that show it is hand made; they are not imperfections or blemishes.

The decanter comes in a gift-worthy white box with company Bib&Sola logo; it is very suitable for gift giving, especially if you know someone’s colors for their kitchen, bar or dining area. At 1.2 liters it is suitable for use when serving dinner to guests as well. If giving as a gift, I might wash it first as it looked much nicer after rinsing it off. There seems to be some residual surface dust that washes off quickly, revealing more beautiful, quality piece.

It is nice to have a clear container on my desk that prompts me to drink the recommended 1.2 Liters a day, and generally, I prefer when my supervisor comes by, to have something more adult and professional on my desk such as this piece instead of plastic bottles that look sloppy.

Makes for a beautiful gift, I believe my photos are true to the color blue, a mid-blue that is not as dark as a lapis.

CONCLUSION: Nice artisan style piece that matches with several decors and is suitable for use in a kitchen, barware, dining room, or office setting.

Startonight Wall Art Canvas Maple Tree

Our office recently underwent renovations, and I had to clear out all of my decor so it didn’t get damaged. It seemed a good a time as any to redecorate, so I will be talking a bit about some office decor ideas here. I was thrilled to find a lovely piece of art in the Startonight Wall Art Canvas Maple Tree.

I picked this piece because it reminded me of the front yard of my childhood home. We have a huge maple tree in the yard, and this painting looks like it was a commissioned work of that area of the property, and of my childhood. My father and I used to play in that area, so it is nice to bright a bit of home into my office. It is beautiful and always brings a smile to my face.

The close up details are stunning. It is one of those paintings that is beautiful from across the room, but breathtaking close-up. The turns of the tree trunk, the individual leaves, the crystal clear water – all are stunning surprises to be found when you examine the painting closely.

Guess what else is cool about this painting? It glows in the dark! Not a neon green, stick-on-planets kind of way, but almost a replica of how light in that area of the yard appears in twilight or if there is a bright, full moon. All it needs is some sunlight and the Dual View Eco Light Inks create a beautiful, soothing view. The Eco Light Inks are interesting: they do not contain phosphorus, which is typically an ingredient in luminescent paints While direct sunlight is ideal, I put the painting near a window with good sunlight, but not direct sunlight, and it worked. In the instructions, it stated that 1 minute of direct natural sunlight per day or 25 minutes of indirect or artificial (aka overhead) light is enough to keep your beautiful twilight view going all night. The light isn’t so bright that it would keep you up at night, I think it would just be a soothing light like a window looking out on a suburban back yard. This painting would be great if you lack windows and would like a view that changes like the outside light. This is ideal if you have a basement apartment, or you simply don’t get as much light as you would like in an area.

The canvas is sturdy and canvas wrapped. It comes with hardware to mount the painting and glow in the dark stars if you want to add some extra light.

NOVICA White and Red Reverse-Painted Glass and Wood Framed Wall Mounted Round Mirror, ‘White Star’

I adore this intricate mirror from NOVICA. The frame is painted in the reverse glass painting technique, where glass is handpainted on one side, and then reversed for display. This makes the colors seem incredibly vibrant, combining the beauty of stained glass with the vibrancy of a painting.

The detail on the mirror is incredible. The white background has a pearlescence to it, which makes it quite versatile. The edges are highly detailed, making it easy to match with either traditional or modern decor. The coppery gold gilding makes it an impressive piece, yet the floral motive adds a bit of whimsey.

I purchased the item because I thought it was beautiful, but initially, I didn’t know where I would display it. At first, I thought about placing it on a wall near a large Peruvian painting with similar colors. As beautiful as the two items would have been together, this mirror is commanding enough that it would have been too much to have two showstopper pieces together. After trying a few other spots, the perfect place became evident: on the brick wall in the kitchen. We have multiple antique copper pieces and the copper-gold tones of the gilding pick up beautifully when places with other display items. It also reflects the tones of the Tiffany light fixture and the colors of the two play off of each other beautifully around sunset.

About the Artist: Asunta Pelaez learned her craft from her husband’s family and started honing her trade when she was seventeen in the Andes. She uses simple tools like basic brushes, but her process is intricate and meticulous as she creates her beautiful pieces. She uses India ink, tempera paints, and purpurina, or gilt, and creates stunning designs inspired by local illustrations. Thanks to NOVICA’s microfinancing, she can employ several women!
