Why Love Morganna’s Alchemy Serum Trio Collection

January 17, 2021 · 1 Comment

REVIEW of each serum in the Morganna’s Alchemy Serum Trio Collection. We share our experience, the benefits and provide a detailed breakdown of each the remarkable clean beauty ingredient formulations.

Our skin changes with age and environmental exposures. Morganna’s Alchemy Serum Trio Collection contains three skin products that contain natural, effective anti-aging ingredients. They work together to address a variety of problems impacting adult skin, including blue light damage.

Morganna Trio

Morganna’s Alchemy Serum Trio

Find yet another new wrinkle? Notice discoloration or skin sagging?  It is tempting to go into mad scientist product overload mode, using multiple products that promise to counteract wrinkles, laxity, discoloration, and sun damage.

This zealous product cocktail approach irritates mature and sensitive skin.  It also isn’t particularly effective.

The Morganna’s Alchemy Serum Trio Collection reverses aged skin and combats future skin damage.

Morganna’s Alchemy Water Drops Serum Ingredient Highlights

Sea Grapes algae promote collagen

Sea Grapes are a variety of green algae that promotes collagen production

Acetyl Hexapeptide-37

Acetyl hexapeptide-37 is a synthetic peptide. It is a combination of amino acids alanine, proline, serine, and glycine.

Acetyl hexapeptide-37 balances the water in the skin’s surface layers to alleviate dehydrated skin.

Caulpera Lentilifera promotes collagen

Caulpera Lentilifera

Caulpera Lentilifera (Green Algae) Extract is an edible seaweed known as sea grapes or green caviar. It is high in minerals with reported anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties.

Caulpera Lentilifera contains fucoidan. Fucoidan promotes fibroblast cell production. Fibroblast cells produce collagen and promote wound healing. Fucoidan also renews and brightens the skin while reducing wrinkle depth and skin spot intensity. [1]

It contains Alginic acids to strengthen the lipid barrier, retain hydration and elasticity.

Sea Grapes are also rich in amino acids for glowing, supple skin.

Astaxanthin from Lithothamnion Calcareum

Red Algae contains Astaxanthin

Lithothamnion Calcareum is Red Algae. Red Algae is a natural source of Astaxanthin.  It enhances the skin’s barrier function, replenishes moisture, and increases its moisture-retention capabilities.

Astaxanthin helps to avoid the harmful effects of external factors on the skin. It protects collagen and elastin skin cells against oxidation or decay. [2, 3] It is moisturizing and has UV blocking properties. Astaxanthin counteracts UV damage and improves elasticity via improved skin function. It promotes collagen production. [4] Astaxanthin suppresses hyperpigmentation and photoaging. Clinical studies show Astaxanthin reduces wrinkle formation. [5]

Hydrolyzed Elastin

Elastin is a skin protein. Elastin is paired collagen in the dermis skin layer and gives structural support to the skin. It is the stretchy structural proteins that allow the skin to snap back into place. Elastin is vulnerable to sun damage. Elastin is as important as collagen for the appearance of younger skin, but fewer products address the loss of skin elastin.

Unlike collagen, topically applied elastin (hydrolyzed) is readily absorbed by the skin and can promote new elastin synthesis. [6]

Glycerin

Glycerin is a natural vegetable-derived humectant. Glycerin helps the skin to retain moisture.  Glycerin fills in gaps in dryer skin which makes skin look better and keeps the outer layer of the skin intact.

Lactic Acid

Lactic acid is an organic acid that exfoliates and brightens skin. It is gentler than glycolic acid. Lactic acid holds moisture while increasing firmness and skin thickness.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Sodium Hyaluronate is a non-synthesized form of Hyaluronic Acid. It is a humectant that offers stronger moisture retention properties than regular HA. It is found naturally and ample supply in young skin, but depletes with age.

Sodium Hyaluronate has a lower molecular size than other Hyaluronic Acids. It absorbs deeper into the skin and brings other actives along with it.

Butylene Glycol

Butylene Glycol is organic alcohol, one of the “good alcohols” It is a conditioning agent that softens skin, a humectant that coats the cell surface.

Caprylyl Glycol

Caprylyl Glycol is a skin-conditioning agent.

Lemon Drops Serum

Lemon Drops Serum

Lemon Drops builds collagen

Lemon Drops builds collagen and provides moisture

Morganna’s Alchemy Lemon Drops Serum Ingredient Highlights

Citrus Limon Peel Extract

Lemon/Limon peel contains concentrated vitamin C to build collagen, fade age spots and rejuvenate photodamage. Vitamin C reduces excess oil production, shrinks pores, and exfoliates dead surface skin. These reduce the formation of adult acne while treating skin aging.

Lemon Peel Oil is also a natural exfoliator and skin purifier. [7] It alleviates skin inflammation [8] and reduces certain infection-causing bacterias. [9]

Direct, undiluted application of lemon peel oil can be excessively drying to the skin, but it works well within a balanced formulation.

Cichorium Intybus

Cichorium Intybus is Chicory Root Extract.

Chicory Root Extract firms wrinkles, restores elasticity and fights signs of photo-aging.

Crosspolymer Hyaluronic Acid

A modified form of hyaluronic acid attached to a polymer structure that keeps it within the skin’s uppermost layers longer. [10] This creates an enhanced hydration effect. Not animal-derived.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Sodium Hyaluronate is a non-synthesized form of Hyaluronic Acid.  Skin-plumping Sodium Hyaluronate has a lower molecular size than other Hyaluronic Acids. It absorbs deeper into the skin and brings other actives along with it.

Penthelyne Glycol

Penthelyne Glycol binds water to the skin.

Illuminate Pea Peptides

Morganna’s Alchemy Illuminate Pea Peptides Serum

Probably our personal favorite of the trio is the Illuminate Pea Peptides Serum. It reduces discoloration and contains fractionated melanin to prevent damage from harmful blue light (i.e. computer screens, phones and tablets).

All those Zoom conferences expose skin to aging blue light.  While we have little choice in using these devices at this juncture, blue light can do a real number on your skin. But Illuminate Pea Peptides Serum combats blue light damage with natural, effective ingredients that are gentle to the skin.

Illuminate Pea Peptides is lightweight with no residue on dry down

  • Ideal for: hyperpigmentation
  • Texture/Consistency: lightweight with no sticky residue
  • Scent: None
  • How to Use It: Apply 2-4 drops morning and evening on clean skin.

Experience:

The dry down is quick and there is no tacky finish.

Morganna’s Alchemy Illuminate Pea Peptides Serum Ingredient Highlights

Pea Peptides

Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract

The garden pea. Pea extract can calm irritated skin. Rich in ellagic and gallic acids, beta-sitosterol, and quercetin it has antioxidant benefits.

It protects collagen and elastin which makes it an ideal anti-aging treatment to promote elasticity and improve skin firming.

Bakuchiol

L-Proline Bakuchiol (Psoralea Corylifolia) Extract is commonly called Bakuchiol. Bakuchiol is derived from the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant.

Bakuchiol is a natural retinol alternative. It is plant-based, non-irritating, and clinically proven statistically as effective as retinol. Bakuchiol improves photoaging, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation equally as well as retinol, but Bakuchiol is better tolerated. [11]

It stimulates collagen within the skin, as well as significant improvement in wrinkles, pigmentation, elasticity, and firmness without the retinol associated side effects. [12]

Bakuchiol inhibits melanin production on age spots and acne scars [13]. Bakuchiol helps with acne.[14]

Zamea Propanediol comes from corn

Zamea Propanediol

Zamea Propanediol is a humectant with the ability to penetrate the skin for a smooth hydrated finish. A corn-based natural alternative to petroleum based glycols, it reduces water loss in the skin.

Kosher Vegetable Glycerin

A natural, pure glycerin that serves to attract and retain moisture and oxygen in the skin.

Rice Amino Acids

Rice amino acids are a mixture of amino acids derived from the complete hydrolysis of rice protein.

Without protein, our skin becomes unprotected and rough. Our skin needs to make protein to stay healthy and hydrated. Rice amino acids can provide this protein. It provides a protective skin barrier.

Hydrolyzed Rice Protein is an effective anti-irritant that leaves dry skin smooth. It has an anti-inflammatory effect while providing  skin hydration.

Baobab Fruit

Baobab Fruit

Baobab Seed Extract

Baobob is a tropical, fruit-bearing, indigenous tree. Baobab Seed Extract or Hydrolyzed Adansonia Digitata is considered a superfruit. Rich in Vitamins A, C, D, and E, it feeds the skin. Baobob is higher in Vitamin C than oranges to offer C serum benefits without the irritation.  Baobob also contains moisture-retaining properties to reduce transepidermal water loss.

Rich in Omega-3s such as palmitic, oleic, linolenic, and linoleic acids. These mighty Omegas moisturize and refine skin. They also build elastin, repair the skin barrier, and reduce inflammation. These properties make Baobab helpful for treating dry skin, even that affected by eczema. [15]Studies show the linoleic acid makes Baobob an effective acne treatment [16] while concurrently addressing signs of aging.

Soybean ingredient on StyleChicks.com

Soybeans

Hydrolyzed Soy Protein

Soy protein is emollient and anti-oxidant. Soybeans are rich in Vitamin E which softens and reduces inflammation.

Honey

Honey is a natural humectant and antioxidant. This bee product excels at clearing acne, healing scars, and promoting an even skin tone. It promotes wound healing while gently exfoliating dead skin cells.

Raw honey is a versatile natural skincare ingredient

Glyceryl Caprylate

Glyceryl Caprylate is a 100% plant derivative of glycerin and caprylic acid. It has emollient and moisturizing properties. It is a  co-emulsifier that helps water and oil based ingredients to work together.

Penthelyne Glycol

Penthelyne Glycol binds water to the skin

Morganna’s Alchemy Serum Trio Collection is an excellent price point considering the ingredients packed into this set. I’ve paid more for just a blue light treating serum alone. All three serums are scent-free, non-irritating, and effective.

Time Travel Skincare: Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment

August 7, 2018 · Leave a Comment

The other day I came across a picture from late 2007 (back then we called them pictures, not selfies.) I didn’t like the picture at the time, so I’m surprised I didn’t delete it immediately. But now, I would give my left arm to have the supple, plump, glowing, collagen-rich skin I had in that picture.

Fortunately, I get to keep both of my arms thanks to Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit. This innovative kit targets the major signs of aging and leaves beautiful, youthful skin. It isn’t a radical treatment regime, it is just you, but better. Ten years ago better.

While you had me at the promise of taking ten years off my face in 30 days, I have to wonder how exactly that’s going to happen. Well, we tried the kit ourselves and I am pretty impressed both with the approach and the products.

Want to know what makes Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit special? Read on!

THE PANIC OF LOOKING OLDER THAN YOU WISH TO LOOK

A certain benchmark birthday prompted me to buy and use all the anti-aging things at once. This overkill plan backfired, too many products all at once were too rough on the skin. There are many effective, fantastic products to target very specific concerns, such as wrinkles and fine lines. But in all likelihood, after the fine lines are addressed, one won’t suddenly be mistaken for once again being a high school student.

Youthful skin is more than just the absence of these signs of age. And capturing this elusive reversal in skin time requires addressing what is actually making skin look, well, not young. And it isn’t just your crows feet. This is where Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit comes in.

Four Products for four targeted skin objectives

Four Products for four targeted skin objectives

WHY Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit WORKS

Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit is different than the way I thought of anti-aging skin care, but now that I have used it, I can see why other specific, targeted skin concern products couldn’t accomplish the overall appearance of youth. Despite all that I look at my face, I didn’t really understand what made me look older. I couldn’t see the forest for the trees, so to speak, and I focused only on the individual manifestations of age. That approach is shoveling against the tide, and at best leaves one looking not actually younger, but “good for their age”. I hate that phrase. Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit addresses both the source and the symptoms of aging skin.

This approach has an excellent success rate on targeted concerns including skin hydration, pigmented spot reduction, skin tone, skin firmness, texture, and a reduction in roughness, redness, enlarged pores, lines, and wrinkles.

WHEN AND HOW DID I STOP LOOKING YOUNG? AGING SKIN IS SNEAKY

When one thinks of aging, do you think wrinkles? Sagging? These are factors, but not entirely what makes us look older. Morganna’s Alchemy addresses the four chief factors of aging skin. The biggest factors are discoloration and roughness from sun damage, environmental pollutants causing dullness, and *THEN* crepey skin/sagging and wrinkles. The worst amongst them is sun damage and the resulting discoloration and rough skin patches. A whopping eighty percent of what ages the face. YIKES.

Want proof?

Have you seen Anthony Cerniello’s “Danielle”?  It’s an artists’ simulation of a female gradually becoming older over time, the real aging of the face occurs when the discoloration and dullness happens, not the gray hair or the wrinkles. You will notice she has some drooping, binasal folds, and undereye bags, even when her face was young. Notice the big change in tone and texture by middle age.

The discoloration makes the face seem harder and sterner, doesn’t it? And the dullness makes her look so tired. The skin tone, redness, and rough patches belie age more than the wrinkles.  If she used just a wrinkle cream, would she look much younger to you?

DISCOLORATION AND DULLNESS: HOW TO LOOK OLD ON PURPOSE

When makeup artists’ “age” a young actor for a movie role to make them look old, they emulate aging with applying discoloration into the contours of the face and obscure the natural vibrant look of young skin. Even wrinkles look older because of the discoloration in their valleys making them appear deeper and more prominent. So they “paint on” what sun damage and environmental factor do to skin over years of time.

So we need to stop THAT from happening ASAP. That is where Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit comes in.

HOW Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit WORKS

APPLICATION

The directions on the back of the box are simple to follow.

Apply Steps 1 and 2 in the morning before makeup, and Steps 3 and 4 in the evening before bed. The smell is natural but dissipates, my makeup went on smoothly over the products without being oily, tight or tacky. Both morning and night my skin feels and looks smooth and hydrated. I like how it makes my skin appear immediately – soft, dewy and supple.

Directions

THE FOUR PRODUCTS

STEP 1 Beauty Starts With Even Skin Tone

Morganna’s Alchemy Step 1 is to even the skin tone. The product is designed to protect the skin from sun radiation. This step alone makes a surprising difference. I hadn’t realized how much discoloration I got overtime on the top of my cheekbones and on the cheek area below the eyes, lots of little freckles and spots that made the overall contours of my face seem not like my own face. The collective impact of all those tiny discoloration spots was an overall darkening on what should be the lightest part of my face. It was as if I applied contour or bronzer where there should be a highlighter.

Sun damage causes spots, lack of firmness, and roughness. It does this with a gentle but effective natural ingredient: Lingonberry Stem Cells.

HOW DOES IT WORK? Lingonberry stem cells increase natural antioxidant mechanisms of skin cells and decrease skin irritation and inflammation, a fantastic combo when seeking to remove unwanted discoloration and get your natural skin tone back. Lingonberry is a “superfruit” rich in vitamins C and E, both excellent for repairing *AND PREVENTING* sun damage on the skin.

RESULTS: I find this product is far more gentle to the skin than other products geared towards discoloration. It does not sting or irritate my skin, even when used with other Morganna Alchemy products. My skin is not dry, itchy or peeling, but the discoloration looks much better. While I have been a sunscreen devotee since my twenties, one cannot fully escape the effects of sun damage and I am excited to see some discolored areas on my cheekbones fading.

Step 1 addresses the ravaging impact of sun damage, reversing old damage and helping to prevent new damage

Step 1 addresses the ravaging impact of sun damage, reversing old damage and helping to prevent new damage

STEP 2 Radiant Skin

You probably have seen gray-haired women with plenty of wrinkles and while you wouldn’t mistake them for 20, they still look younger than their years. How? Likely, their skin is vibrant, glowing and not dull. No amount of highlighter or dewy makeup trick and fake the vibrant glow of youthful skin.

Step 2 is designed to protect skin from environmental damage. It is applied once Step 1 dries down. It goes under makeup.

HOW IT WORKS: Environmental damage makes skin dull and sensitive, which leads to redness and inflammation, which in turn, makes one look older still. Fortunately, skin can recoup from environmental damage if given a chance.

RESULTS: Step 2 is a light gel that serves as a protective shield all day while it repairs and refines the skin, allowing it to get its’ glow back. I have always considered my skin sensitive, but now that I have had Step 2 as a protective barrier on my skin, I think it is more likely that my skin was aggravated by environmental irritants.

Step 2 provides a protective layer to the skin to shield it from environmental damage

Step 1 and Step 2 address issues you may or may not have realized are making skin older. Step 3 and 4 address target areas you may already be treating but may wish for better results than you have achieved to date.

STEP 3 Youthful

Young skin snaps right back, older skin takes a bit longer. When our skin lacks moisture and loses collagen it becomes deflated, resulting in a sluggish sort of crepiness and sagging.

While there are plenty of skin-friendly ingredients in Step 3, the star of the show is Platinum, which binds to the peptide ingredients and helps them penetrate into the deepest skin layers. It is this layer where sagging can be repaired by these peptides that boost collagen production. Any collagen you can get helps, but most topicals can’t reach this deep of a skin layer, so their results are superficially helpful but not so great for reducing sagging. The deeper active ingredients like peptides can get into the skin and make collagen, the better. Once you can get hydration and peptides deep enough into the skin to re-plump or re-inflate from the lost moisture and restore the collagen, it firms up quick, sagging skin becomes up to 40% firmer in one month.

RESULTS: Skin does quickly seem more hydrated and supple. I would not have thought of myself as having dehydrated skin but I can’t argue with how much more supple it looks now. Extra collagen production gets better and better over time, I am 14 days into my 30 days as of now, and I am excited about this Platinum plus peptides collagen producing combo!

Step 3

Step 3 promotes deep skin level collagen production to meaningfully reduce sagging

STEP 4 DefyAge

DefyAge tackles the issues you can likely see on your skin right now, enlarged pores, redness, fine lines.  It minimizes the appearance of all of the above using Elfe Flower and Red Rose Wine to thicken skin. These anti-oxidant powerhouses not only make the skin less subject to new wrinkles but reduce large pores and redness.

RESULTS: Redness around the nostrils, and eyes sneaks up on you, and does make one look older. The idea of thickening the skin is wonderful to not only help old wrinkles but to prevent new ones.

Step 4 promotes collagen production to meaningfully reduce sagging

Step 4 also promotes collagen production and helps skin combat fine lines

CONCLUSION

So that is our impression and overview of Morganna’s Alchemy 10 Years in 30 Days Treatment Kit. What a kit! This is an easy to use system, with all-star ingredients, combined into highly effective treatments for impressive results that restore a youthful glow, remove sun damage and give a healthier look to the skin. It is effective without irritating or drying the skin, my skin was soft during the entire process, not peeling, red or irritated. It addresses skincare needs that I didn’t even realize I was missing and the result is hydrated, soft skin that looks like my skin, but lovelier and younger.

Why Morganna’s Alchemy INSTANTLIFT is Special

November 16, 2016 · Leave a Comment

We tried Morganna’s Alchemy INSTANTLIFT, from the folks who brought us our highly rated Morganna’s Bellatox.

If you’re not yet familiar with the brand Morganna’s Alchemy, it is the phyto-dermo-cosmetic line produced by chemist Maya Hyppolite-Williams M.A. Just outstanding skincare.

Morganna’s Alchemy INSTANTLIFT

Morganna’s Alchemy INSTANTLIFT

Why InstantLift is Special

INSTANTLIFT contains no silicone – the usual method of temporary wrinkle reduction – but instead is a green-chemistry approach utilizing eco-certified organic extracts to achieve tightening effects.

In this particular product Sorghum, Chickory Root and Tara Extracts are the major agents of change.

  • Sorghum is a cereal-like plant from Africa. Its extract has the consistency of melted sugar which enables it to go on the skin invisibly.
  • Tara and Chickory Root have the same property and, additionally, add moisture to the skin

These active ingredients are used in high concentrations and are said to act synergistically.

Thoughts on Lifting Products Generally

For quite some time I’ve been attracted to products claiming to provide instant temporary lift and have tried several. My experience with each and every one previously used was that a white film developed upon drying.

Evidently, this was expected by the manufacturers since some products even suggested ways to deal with the white film, such as blotting with a damp cloth or tissue. I did follow that suggestion but could not lose the white film until I washed the product off entirely. Since I did not care for the stiff feel of those products on my face I did proceed to do just that, so never learned how long the temporary tightening effect might actually last. One of those products made my face quite itchy, as well.

The Instantlift Experience

Well, the proof is in the pudding or, in this case, the serum.

Although there was no specific instruction to apply to a cleansed face, that’s what I did. Or, more specifically, to half my cleansed face to be better able to observe any change.

I spread the serum to the more saggy and wrinkled right side of my face, the side I sleep on where gravity has taken a bit more of a toll.

A pea-size drop easily covered (half) forehead to jowl. For those who need address only the eye area a small drop would be sufficient.

There was a very light, pleasant floral fragrance that completely dissipated almost immediately. Since I tend to be very allergic, I typically avoid fragrance but the scent associated with INSTANTLIFT didn’t bother me at all. However, if you can’t or don’t care to use a product with even a briefly detectable, light fragrance, this may be a consideration for you.

Morganna’s Alchemy INSTANTLIFT

Morganna’s Alchemy INSTANTLIFT

There was no residue at all, not on my face or fingers and no dreaded white film which had proved a bane to my previous forays into quick, temporary skin youthifying.

My skin felt comfortable and, upon checking after 10 minutes or so, I did notice a definite wrinkle reduction and lift. Even if this had been the full extent of the improvement I would have been quite satisfied. However, the manufacturer calls the result an almost instant lift in that the maximum initial results occur about one hour out from application and there was, indeed, some additional improvement by the end of an hour.

The lift was noticeable enough to trigger somewhat of a dilemma. While I lost no time applying the serum to the other side of my forehead and crow’s feet (as well as my entire turkey gobble), since I had achieved jowl symmetry by applying only to the droopier jawline, I pondered if I should just leave the naturally tighter left side untreated. Well, curiosity got the best of me, and I did apply the serum to the left side and waited.

A lift was achieved and, with the scrutiny one would probably only give their own face, my “good side” now was a little tighter than the other side of the face that had been first treated. So, I applied a second treatment to only the right jowl, and that brought me symmetrical again. In the future, I will either repeat treatment on the less-tight jaw line for maximum effect or just treat the droopier side alone if pressed for time.

An additional plus stated for the INSTANTLIFT product verses silicone-paste based temporary wrinkle tightener is the ability to easily apply makeup after using which is, apparently, not the case with the silicone-containing products. And I can understand why that would be so since the silicone-based products tend to ball. I, personally, don’t use foundation but do apply under eye and spot cover and those products went on beautifully after INSTANTLIFT.

So, I would report being not only satisfied but delighted with my INSTANTLIFT trial. It did what it claimed it would and the effects lasted all day.

InstantLift Clinical Testing

Upon clinical testing a 43% mean decrease of wrinkling occurred with the best subject achieving an 81% decrease so, based on that information, the average user can reasonably expect a very satisfactory result.

My experience with the eye area was especially striking, rolling back time a decade or more. I can’t begin to tell you how that made me feel!

One other thing to pass along, though I haven’t used the product long enough speak from experience, is the manufacturer indicates cumulative long-term results from the Tara Root in INSTANTLIFT. I will be continuing to use this product and will let you know when my personal jury comes back on this point!

First Update:
When I prepared for bed the temporary improvement didn’t end when INSTANTLIFT was washed off and even this morning some noticeable benefit remained.

Why Morganna’s Bellatox Is Excellent for Dry Dehydrated Skin

August 29, 2016 · Leave a Comment

My skin became seriously dry this week. Despite wearing adequate amount of sunscreen, the high UV index took a toll, and I have been so busy that I haven’t been properly hydrating. On top of that, I emptied out the last of my La Mer, which is usually what I use to save my face when it gets this dry.

So I am thrilled that I have Morganna’s Bellatox to use on my skin. As we all know, Parisian Girls do skincare right. Easy but effective. And that is precisely what Bellatox is.

Morganna's Bellatox for Dry Dehydrated Skin

Despite the name, Bellatox doesn’t have botox, or any toxin, for that matter. It has natural ingredients that hydrate the skin and plump wrinkles, so they are far less visible.

Bellatox is unique because of four primary ingredients. These are Hydrolized Vegetable Protein, Spilanthol, Imperata Cylindrica, and Hyaluron. These four ingredients provide the following specific beauty benefits:

SMOOTHING & LIGHT DEFLECTING:

Hydrolized Vegetable Protein is what gives the skin an appearance of instant smoothness, especially on wrinkles and imperfections. It has a light deflecting property that makes light bounce off the surface of the wrinkle or imperfection, so the eye sees a smooth surface. It covers a multitude of beauty “sins” including enlarged pores, discoloration, wrinkles, crows feet and the tiny lines around the mouth; all these items seem less obvious upon application.

REDUCTION IN FUTURE WRINKLES AND CRINKLES

Spilanthol is a safe, pre-emptive way to combat wrinkles. It does this with a topical anesthetic that relaxes the tension muscles that have the contractions that result in wrinkles. This is different from Botox injections that stop natural muscle movement. Spilanthol only impacts involuntary contraction muscle reactions, which is what causes wrinkling around the eyes, the “eleven lines” between the eyebrows, and frown lines.

DEEP MOISTURIZATION FOR 4 HOURS:

Imperata Cylindrica is a common weed in some areas of the world. In the beauty world, it is known for the ability to deliver deep moisture to the skin extendedly for four hours. This is part of why the skin appears so very dewy upon Bellatox application, but it is not greasy or sticky like some moisturizers.

PLUMPING, MOISTURIZING, AND ASSISTING ACTIVE INGREDIENT ABSORPTION: HYALURON

Hyaluron is better known to many as Hyaluronic Acid, which is naturally occurring in the body but diminishes as we age. Hyaluron is an instant plumper: it plumps up wrinkles to that they appear smaller or non-existent. It also plumps the lips, giving a youthful, pouty, wrinkle-free look. Hyaluron plumps the skin by drawing moisture and holding it there: which makes it a perfect pairing for the moisture laden Imperata Cylindrica.

Hyaluron can hold up to 50 times its’ weight in water, making your skin about as dewy as you can get. It is one of my favorite go-to ingredients in skincare. Hyaluron has another beauty benefit for long-term results that being the ability to draw active ingredients deeper into the skin, via the water molecules, than the ingredients could reach on their own. That means the moisture reaches a deeper layer of the skin, as well as the Spilanthol can pre-empt deeper appearing wrinkles.

RESULTS

After the first day I used it, my skin had a vibrant, dewy glow, like it was lit from within. Several people complimented me on how good my skin looked during the day. It has a serum consistency, and it isn’t sticky under sunscreen, Vitamin C serums, or makeup. I loved how evenly and smoothly my concealer, powder, blush and foundation applied over the velvety surface. Although after a few uses, when I wear the Bellatox, my skin does not need complete foundation coverage, so I often opt to skip foundation entirely except for on a few areas such as my dark undereye circles and an occasional blemish. I allow about 5 minutes before applying my makeup, but you could apply your makeup as soon as your sunscreen dries down over Bellatox.
