Spring in New England has some warm days and cool nights. The daffodils are about to bloom … but at night it is still quite chilly. So, we were excited to try the Elegear Wearable Hug Throw Blanket. It is soft and snuggly with a very useful feature of blanket sleeves to keep arms warm on chilly nights! Known as a “lazy blanket”, it keeps your shoulders and arms warm while you use your phone or tablet, read a book, or hold a warm cup of tea.
Your favorite warm blanket has one flaw: to hold a mug or your phone, your arms need to be out from underneath the blanket, resulting in cold shoulders.
This blanket has two arm holes to keep the blanket on your shoulders to keep all of you warm while allowing your forearms to be free. Drape it to cover your upper arms and shoulders with the generous armholes.
It is soft and not bulky, yet it is quite warm. At 60” x 80” this generously sized blanket is long enough to cover you from shoulders to toes with room to spare.
When not in use, it rolls up neatly for easy storage.
The arm holes are each 11 inches long for comfortable use.
I find this blanket very useful to work on a laptop and still stay extra warm!
ABOUT THIS FABRIC
This is made with 300GSM, which is 300 Grams per Square Meter.
For reference, the traditionally warm merino wool is generally between 200 and 300 GSM. The fabric in this blanket is as warm as merino wool but is plush and soft to the touch. It is also moisture-wicking.
Made of a super soft plush flannel, it is anti-static and resistant to lint or pilling. It maintains its’ shape even after multiple machine washes.
