About GOOP GOOPGLOW 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel

While I love glycolic acid, I didn’t see what would be so special about THIS glycolic acid pad versus other glycolic acid peels available at a fraction of the price.

Boy was I surprised to see what a refined result GOOP GLOW gives!

This is likely due to the notable ingredient lineup and the design of the peel pad itself.

With aHA, there is almost never the uneven peeling that often comes with many chemical peels or scrubs, so there is less post-peel downtime with AHA. Skin is just soft and dewy looking, not red and irritated.

While skin can get red and irritated from AHA, as long as it is done properly, irritation will be short-lived, so it makes for an excellent anti-aging product.

First, let’s take a look at the ingredients paired with aHA in GOOP GLOW:

Key Ingredients

Glycolic Acid (AHA)

15% AHA, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid from sugar cane. With an AHA peel, it loosens the “glue” that holds dead skin cells without scrubbing or rubbing the skin.

There is also a light version with 5% AHA, a much gentler approach ideal for skin that uses topicals such as Retinol or super sensitive skin types.

Australian Kakadu Plum

Kakadu plums are the highest natural source of vitamin C to support collagen synthesis and provide antioxidant support. It reduces acne, fades scars, and reduces fine lines.

Kakadu plums are also high in gallic acid and ellagic acid. The benefits are it:

  • fight free radicals
  • hydrates the skin
  • prevents skin damage

Mango

Mangifera Indica Pulp Extract

Also known as Mango.

Mango is an emollient. It is rich in fatty acids. This keeps skin hydrated and nourished.

Mango extract also contains Vitamins C, A, E, K, and B6.

Mango Seed Extract is high in copper.

Copper supports Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid production in the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid Trio

This formula contains three molecular sizes of Hyaluronic Acid to provide optimal hydration.

Glycerin

Glycerin is a natural vegetable-derived humectant. It helps skin hold moisture. Glycerin fills in gaps in dryer skin which makes skin look better. It also keeps the outer skin layer intact.

Musa sapientum (Banana) Pulp Extract

Banana extract is anti-inflammatory[1], antibiotic, and anti-oxidant. [2]

Zizyphus Jujuba Seed Extract

Also known as Chinese date. It is in the buckthorn family and acts like jojoba.

Lavender

Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil

Lavender Oil softens the skin.

Lavender’s anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties keep skin healthy. It has soothing properties to calm inflammation, dry skin and flaking.

The GOOP GOOPGLOW 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel  Experience

This is a dual-sided pad. It has an exfoliative basket-weave texture side and a smooth side.

Each GOOP GOOPGLOW 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel treatment pad is textured

The dual-layer design has a finger pocket. It is useful for an even, clean application.

There is a “pocket” in every GOOP GOOPGLOW 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel is a weekly peel pad to best treat angles and curves of the neck, throat, face

Why We Love the Solawave Skincare Wand

October 15, 2021 · Leave a Comment

This article is a review of the Solawave Skincare Wand features. We tested the Solawave and report our experience.

Solawave Skincare Wand is a lightweight facial tool. It has multiple skincare benefits. It is a portable tool and easy to use. It has an angle top head. The head fits into tiny areas that other devices can miss. Use it on crow’s feet, small lines around the mouth, and eleven lines.
SolaWave Skincare Wand

Solawave Skincare Wand provides targeted red light therapy

What Is the Solawave Skincare Wand?

It is a 5-minute facial tool. It combines multiple dermatology functions into one sleek device.

What Does Solawave Skincare Wand Do?

Here are some of the Solawave Skincare Wand benefits:

Benefit 1: Microcurrent

A low-voltage energy stimulates the muscles and deeper layers of the skin. This improves the appearance of signs of aging.

Benefit 2: Red light therapy

LED red light at 660nm promotes collagen production while adding vibrance to the skin.

  • Red light jump-starts tissue rejuvenation by increasing blood flow and collagen stimulation.
  • Red light therapy significantly improves skin complexion, tone, and texture.
  • It also reduces roughness, wrinkles, and fine lines.

In clinical studies, Ultrasonographic tests show red light therapy increases collagen.

Benefit 3: Warming

Reduces inflammation and swelling, soothes irritated skin.

When used with a product, it helps promote absorption.

Benefit 4: Vibration

Promotes better blood flow, reduces swelling

Solawave Skincare Wand Uses

It is ideal for:

  • crows feet
  • 11 lines
  • undereye bags
  • fine wrinkles around the mouth
  • Treat a pimple with an effective spot treatment of red light therapy.
  • Deliver an intensive treatment around the undereye area.
  • Target a specific wrinkle.

Pair the device with the SolaWave Renew Complex Serum. It’s a “Conductive Serum,” that contains hyaluronic acid and blue tansy.

The wand can be used with or without the serum.

The Experience

The head can be positioned to best fit into small spots and awkward angles.

Something I particularly like about using the Wand is I can use it anywhere. It is quiet and portable.

I can also use it while I am doing other things such as watching TV, working on my computer, or when I am on the phone. Unlike a light therapy panel, this doesn’t require eye goggles, so I don’t have to wait until I have free time in order to use it.

It is especially helpful a few minutes before I apply my makeup. I like to use it while drinking my morning coffee to smooth morning puffiness
