Unlike some light therapy devices, the light does not feel “hot” on the skin and treatment is comfortable.

What are the benefits of a Cooling Blanket?

Restful sleep requires being cool enough to sleep comfortably.

Being too warm or too cool interferes with quality sleep.  Most people sleep best with adequate air circulation and when the room is about 65° F.  But we can’t always control these factors.

A cooling blanket gives just enough coverage while keeping you cool enough to get comfortable. This Elegear blanket uses a special fabric designed to keep you cool.

The Science of Sleeping Cool

This fabric feels cool against the skin because it uses special Japanese Q-Max 0.4 Cooling Fibers to absorb body heat.

The cooling property is measured by Q-Max. This blanket is Q-Max 0.4. Regular fiber is 0.2.

Q-max value is used to evaluate whether the skin feels cool or warm when touching or using the fabric. Higher numbers transfer body heat faster. The higher the number, the cooler the fabric feels.

Most bedding is 0.2 / cm. The primary fabric in the blanket is greater than 0.4 / cm.

The Experience

It is not heavy or scratchy, it drapes with just a bit of stretch.  Even on a very hot night, it stays cool and dry and is comfortable to fall asleep.

For an extra bit of cooling, I like to place the blanket in front of the air conditioner for 20 minutes before bed. The special fabric retains the extra cool temperatures!

Not only does the fabric keep you cool, it keeps you dry. Ideal for hot, humid weather or if you personally are excessively warm from fever or even hot flashes.
