Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer How to Best Use

April 25, 2008 · 5 Comments

REVIEW of the Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer

Trying to get ringlets to go (and stay) straight is never an easy task – and I never met with success until recently. My hair never had any volume if I blew it out straight, and whatever product I used always dulled out shine.

Granted, I like my curly hair, but I like having options as well. So I was understandable thrilled when I tried the Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer.

I’ve been using Tourmaline Blow Dryers for a few years now – I love the speed of drying and the extra shine they give.

But the versatility of the Conair dryer really sets it apart.

What are the Benefits of Tourmaline for Hair?

Tourmaline is a mineral that is used on this hairdryer. It helps hair retain moisture by speeding up the drying process. This prevents extra moisture loss.

This can benefit dry or damaged hair.

How does the dryer attachment work?

The dryer attachment is a lot like a standard diffuser, but it has a comb on one end. This is great for whatever style you are going for – if you are drying your hair curly, the short comb is perfect for lifting your roots to dry them in order to get volume at the crown.

How to Best Use the Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer

  1. If you are drying your hair straight, separate your hair into sections, and slowly run your hair through the comb.
  2. I find I can get great volume if I wrap my hair around my head as I guide the dryer through – follow your hair in the opposite direction of it’s growth around your forehead.
  3. Move on to the next section when each section is dry.
  4. I end up with tons of volume and pin-straight, shiny hair.

The two products that I find work best for this method are Frederic Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump and Frederic Fekkai Coiff Controle Ironless Straightening Balm. Both of them work if you want to get curly hair as well.

Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer Blow Dryer TIPS

1. It can dry large sections but smaller sections give a smoother finish

2. rough dry hair about 50% with the attachment off. Then straighten with the attachment.

3. The felt coating on the teeth keeps hair smoother but also needs frequent cleaning.

4. Use the black buttons on the side to swivel the comb attachment at any angle. This is useful for bangs and side pieces.

4. Start from the underneath of your hair with the wet hair in a clip. Take a section at a time

5. Optional: While hair is still warm, roll it in a curler while it cools to set the style

New Product: Spinlash The Cure for the Common Clump

April 15, 2008 · 2 Comments

Metal eyelash separators freak me out. And the few times I’ve used one, they never actually got rid of all the clumps anyways. And no matter how non-clumping a mascara formula is, lashes still get stuck together after I apply mascara.

And then the SpinLash was invented.

This amazing device gently removes every clump from your lashes, leaving your fringe perfectly defined and frankly, better than your lashes look on their own. Take a look at your non-mascara’d lashes they grow in clumps some grow straight out, some grow kind of diagonally, and some grow straight down. Is it any wonder your standard wand can’t distribute mascara evenly?

Spinlash works via a battery operated lash brush that slowly spins as you work it through your lashes after you have applied mascara use the same motion as how you apply mascara just work it from root to the tip of your lashes. It works in two directions, so you can use it on both top and bottom lashes, and it fits comfortably in either your left or right hand. As you brush it through your lashes, it pulls out all the clumps, as well as distributes extra mascara on the tips of your lashes, giving your lashes definite presence and extra length. Your lashes will look magazine ad perfect in seconds!

I was truly astonished at how easy Spinlash is to use it takes virtually no time to brush through your lashes, and considering I don’t have to manually separate lashes that get stuck together, it saves a lot of time (and eyelid cleanup) in the morning. And I find that I look forward to using it it’s kind of fun to watch the clumps disappear!

While you can apply your favorite mascara with no problem before you use SpinLash, they also include a complimentary mascara you can choose from black or brownish black. It’s a great mascara black is a rich, lush black that doesn’t smudge at all and can stand on its own as a great product. My lashes looked incredibly thick and long, even though they were looking pretty wimpy before I applied the product (remember a few weeks ago saying that I was at the long part of my lash growth cycle and I’d be complaining soon that my lashes were short? My lashes are short now. Good thing Spinlash came along…)

You can order Spinlash for $14.95 from https://www.glamza.co.uk/products/glamza-spin-lash

Mirror Mirror on my Hair Frederic Fekkai Salon Glaze

April 11, 2008 · 1 Comment

Take a look at Veronica from Archie Comics – you know where the light bounces off her hair a little above the temple. That’s a sign of youth seems like a small thing, but adding shine to your hair can make you look far younger. And if, like me, you’ve tried all sorts of shine serums trying to get your hair to have shine and luminosity, you probably have also been disappointed by many – you may get shine, but you also get greasy hair – it’s just too easy to use too much shine serum.

Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about that any longer thanks to the wonderful people at Frederic Fekkai. I was excited when I heard about Frederic Fekkai Salon Glaze, but it absolutely blew me away when I tried it.

As I mentioned before, Fekkai Salon Glaze has good stuff in it: Pearl proteins to make your hair luminous, and grape seed extract, sweet almond protein, and B-5 vitamins to get your hair in great condition fast.

But just how fast was what astonished me after my first use (apply it to your hair for three to five minutes after you wash your hair and then rinse out), my hair had an amazing shine to it, and no residue! By use #3, my hair reflected light like a mirror I was amazed.

I really like that Salon Glaze is non-chemical, but achieves the same results as getting your hair professionally glazed and far more convenient. After washing and conditioning your hair, squeeze (gently!) the excess water out of your hair, and then apply enough to cover your hair all the way from the scalp to the ends. You don’t need a ton of it apply it to one section first and you’ll get the hang of how much you need it pretty much absorbs in immediately. If you don’t like conditioning too close to your scalp for fear of buildup don’t worry, this washes out clean. Wait three to five minutes, and rinse out. Style whatever way you like, and enjoy the super shine! If you color your hair, this is a great way to keep your color looking fresh from the salon far longer.

Like I said before, each time you use it your hair gets shinier  I didn’t get the mirror-like shine until the third use, but I would have been thrilled if any product had given me the shine I got from the first use as well. It doesn’t look like you have more product it your hair simply looks massively more healthy and super shiny.

I found that using Fekkai Salon Glaze in conjunction with Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump left my hair in out of this world condition and silkier than I’ve ever seen it they work really well together.

Frederic Fekkai Salon Glaze is available at Sephora.com and Beauty.com for $28.00.

Why We Love Frederic Fekkai All Day Hair Plump

April 4, 2008 · 4 Comments

REVIEW: Fekkai All Day Hair Plump

I have to warn you if you use the new Frederic Fekkai All Day Hair Plump, you may end up losing endless hours of your day simply staring at your hair in the mirror.
Admiring how much hair you have.

How smooth it is.

How your hair is perfectly healthy from root to ends.

How much bounce your hair has when you turn your head.

How you will clearly be the prettiest girl at the party. It’s going to take up a big portion of your day until you get used to being just that fabulous.

THE Frederic Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump EXPERIENCE

It’s no secret that I love Fekkai hair products, but the two that I’ve tried recently the Fekkai Salon Glaze (stay tuned for my review on that) and the Fekkai All Day Hair Plump  have really blown me away.

As I said to one of the other Style Chicks today, the Fekkai All Day Hair Plump makes it feel like you have double the amount of hair on your head.

And brings your hair back to how healthy it was when you were a kid – that amazing shine, softness and luminosity of a child’s hair. With no residue or stickiness, either.

How to Use Frederic Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump

To use, I pumped out about four pumps (which isn’t a whole lot of the product, this bottle will last a long time) and applied it to wet hair.

This was enough to coat all of my long, thick hair (my hair goes a little past mid-back). It feels like it instantly absorbs into your hair, there really is no residue or oiliness to it.

From there, I used a straightening drier attachment and dried it in sections maybe about a tenth of my head at a time.

I got amazing volume, incredible shine and luminosity, and best of all, it looked stronger and healthier than I’ve ever seen my hair. Like strands of silk growing out my head!

You can use All Day Hair Plump with your usual styling products.

The third time I used All Day Hair Plump I followed it up with Frederic Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel from the Fekkai Coiff Collection and got shiny, bouncy, soft to the touch curls.

Frederic Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump Experience

The way it plumps your hair cuticle is amazing!

I have an area near my temple that is a bit thinner than the rest of my hairline, so I usually part my hair in the middle.

With Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump, I was able to side-part my hair right at the point I usually cover and it looks as full and thick as the rest of my hair.

Are your ends looking thinner than the rest of your hair? Use this product and your hair will have the same thickness all the way down your hair shaft. I’ve tried a lot of products trying to get that effect, and not one has come close.

How does it do all this?

GREAT INGREDIENTS

This great serum (BTW as with most hair products, rubs the product between your hands a few times the heat from your hands will take the lotion-like formula and melt it into a serum it’s kind of like activating it) provides a continuous, time release moisturization of your hair all day. It fills damaged spots in the hair cuticle (the stuff that makes your hair feel rough and what leads to split ends) via marine peptides and Hyaluronate.

Hyaluronate is the same stuff as Hyaluronic Acid that is found in high end skincare products, which has the same amazing plumping and youthifying effect on skin.

It is able to not leave residue or be sticky because it fills in the damaged spot so basically there is nothing left on the outside of your hair, it all gets absorbed in.

Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump is part of the Advance Hair Care line from Fekkai, and the daytime equivalent of the Fekkai Overnight Hair Repair.

Overnight Hair Repair works in tandem with the All Day Plump as a long term hair repair system. I am hoping by using them together my hair will look like I’ve never seen the sun or a heat process in my life.
