Status Symbol and Blueberry Flower

The inside of the bullet is a sleek non-reflective shiny silver that also bears the VIOLA ROUGE branding in violet lettering.

The lipstick bullet itself is contained in a semi-opaque white mold. The lipstick is the classic angled tip.

Rice Bran Oil is a gentle anti-inflammatory oil that promotes hydration. It is a vital source of vitamins A, B2, B1, squalene, and two types of Vitamin E. This combo can hydrate, heal and soften skin while making scars and burns more pliable. It is high in fatty acids including Omega 6 and 9, both of which give skin a healthy glow.

It is rich in ferulic acid (used in facial creams to support Vitamin C), plus inositol and gamma oryzanol, anti-oxidants, and nourishing moisturizers. [1] Rice bran evens out skin tone and reduces dark spots. [2] It is excellent for tackling lip lines and wrinkles [3] that often belie age.

Shea Butter

Shea Butter treats acne scars, including cystic acne dark scars. Shea can feed the skin and overhaul the skin texture, even on deep burns.

Sunflower

Sunflower Extract

Sunflower is hydrating and nourishing. It functions as a lipid buffer and retains moisture in the skin. Rich in vitamin E, it can repair damaged skin. [4]

Rosemary

Rosemary Leaf Extract

Rosemary Extract combats dry skin. It naturally protects skin from sun damage and free radicals. It also has natural antiseptic properties and is a gentle exfoliant for dead skin flakes.

Rosemary Extract is soothing and helps reduce puffiness and lightens dark spots.

It is stimulating and promotes better blood circulation to deliver the nutrients necessary to build collagen, elastin and to encourage scar repair.

THE EXPERIENCE

Thanks to the VIOLA ROUGE Pick Your Perfect Shade Quiz, I found two lipsticks that are perfect for my skin tone. I can’t count the number of lipsticks I have tried over the years trying to find a shade like Blueberry Flower, but as soon as I applied it I knew it was what I have been looking for. The same is true of Status Symbol. Having found two shades that are an exact match for my skin’s undertones, I can’t wait to try the others that the quiz recommended for me!

The texture is silky, weightless, and glides on evenly and with precision.

It is transfer-resistant and long-wearing, but not at all drying. Quite the contrary in fact: I found it exceptionally hydrating all day long without the need to reapply.

Blueberry flower lipstick is a deep fuchsia pink with a satin finish. It works for Pink, Blue, & Olive skin undertones.

Cold-press unrefined Bertholletia excelsa is Brazil nut seed oil. Cold-pressed preserves the most nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. It is a restorative antioxidant that fights UV damage.

Brazil nut oil is an outstanding anti-aging oil that reduces transepidermal water loss. It promotes skin elasticity via minerals such as Copper.

It also nourishes and refines the skin with Vitamins E, A, C, and D. It provides hydration and imparts a natural skin glow via fatty acids including linoleic, oleic fatty acids, and palmitic acid.

murumuru fruit Butter

This eye serum also uses cold-press unrefined Astrocaryum murumuru fruit butter. It comes from the fruit fat found in murumuru nuts. This fruit fat is marvelously moisturizing even for skin conditions like eczema.

Murumuru is a natural anti-inflammatory to soothe sensitive or irritated skin, it also seals in moisture. These properties help heal damaged skin.

Murumuru is high in Vitamin A to refine skin while healing it.

It is non-fragrant.

Passiflora edulis

Passiflora edulis is passionfruit oil. This formula uses a cold-press, unrefined whole-fruit passionfruit oil. Passionfruit oil soothes dry skin.

Passionfruit oil also contains lycopene.

Carapa guianensis seed oil

Carapa guianensis is andiroba seed oil. It is cold-pressed extracted from the Andiroba tree seeds of the Amazon Forest.

Andiroba seed oil is naturally rich in antioxidants, Vitamins A, C and E, and fatty acids. It is ideal for dry skin types as an emollient that is easily absorbed. It promotes skin elasticity.

The andiroba seed oil in this formula is responsibility wildcrafted, cold-pressed, and unrefined.

Cold-press unrefined whole-fruit Rosa canina (rosehip) oil.

The unrefined oil has maximum rosehip benefits. Skin regeneration and wound healing. It smoothes fine lines. Rosehip oil is high in nutrients and Vitamin A to refine skin.

Hippophae rhamnoides

Better known as seabuckthorn berry. This formulation contains Supercritical CO2 Total extract that is responsibly wildcrafted.

One of our favorite ingredients, Sea Buckthorn oil is extracted from small orange berries.

Sea Buckthorn Oil is like a who’s who of nutrients including vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, E, K, and P; carotenoids; flavonoids; amino acids; phenols; folic acid; organic acids; 20 mineral elements, and essential fatty acids.[1]

It uniquely contains all four omegas: omega-3, omega-6, omega-7, and omega-9.

These repairing nutrients repair eczema, wounds, scars, and aging skin concerns including wrinkles and fine lines. It works wonders on the undereye area.

Sea Buckthorn is very gentle and plumps wrinkles and lines upon application.  These nutrients have a variety of skincare applications including soothing the redness of sun damage, nourishing skin, providing C and E, and serving as a super anti-oxidant.

Tamanu Oil in this formula is cold-press unrefined Calophyllum Inophyllum nut kernel oil from India.

Tamanu Oil is a versatile oil with a rare fatty acid profile that makes skin softer, hydrated, and more pliable while promoting healing. Tamanu Oil research studies are limited but support Tamanu’s skin healing abilities.

Tocopherol

A form of Vitamin E used in skincare preparations. This particular vitamin E comes from non-GMO sunflowers.

Tocopherol softens the skin, easing the rough edges of wrinkles while making photo-damaged skin more pliable.
