REVIEW: EARTH WISE PASSION EYE SERUM

EARTH WISE PASSION EYE SERUM is an organic, wild-crafted, unscented, silky eye serum boasting zero boring ingredients. It has amaranth, passionfruit, and Rosehip Seed Oils, plus sea buckthorn berry CO2 extract, murumuru butter, and Brazil nut. It deeply hydrates the delicate eye area skin.

Why Passion Eye Serum is Special

Small batch and wildcrafted, Earth Wise Beauty Passion Eye Serum promotes collagen and skin elasticity while deeply hydrating eye skin. Yet it doesn’t irritate the skin.

And despite some aromatic wildcrafted ingredients, there is no scent to set off sensitivities. I love Rosehip benefits but can rarely tolerate the aroma around my eyes. Passion Eye Serum managed to use some ingredients that typically are overwhelmingly fragrant.

By their natural extraction methods, Earth Wise gets the best out of these organic ingredients without the olfactory wallop. The result is a serum that delivers an exceptional product that can be used by highly sensitive skin types.

The Earth Wise Beauty Passion Eye Serum Experience

Passion Eye Serum is notably silky.

This lovely deep golden hue, dense oil is dispensed from a bubble top dropper.

Just a drop is enough for the skin around the orbital area of both eyes. It is not at all sticky or tacky.

Silky, golden oil dispenses one drop at a time from this bubble dropper

It absorbs well and dries down smoothly without being greasy. Skin feels bouncy and looks dewy. Regular use promotes skin firmness. We love that it is unscented! It comes in two sizes, I wish we got the larger bottle.

Just a drop of EARTH WISE PASSION EYE SERUM treats the skin around both eyes.

Black Cumin Seed Oil: How to Get Hair Growth Benefits

April 6, 2021 · Leave a Comment

Black Seed Oil, also known as Black Cumin Seed Oil, is an excellent hair conditioning and hair growth remedy. It also has skincare benefits.
Black Cumin Seed Oil comes from the seeds of this flower

Black Cumin Seed Oil comes from the seeds of this Nigella sativa flower

What is Black Cumin Seed Oil?

Black Seed Oil comes from the Virgin in the green flower.

Rich in fatty amino acids, Black Seed Oil is moisturizing to the skin and hair. It makes an excellent scalp treatment.

  • It is an anti-inflammatory that soothes chronic skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
  • The fatty amino acids make the skin glow and give hair a natural shine.

Black Cumin Seed Oil Benefits

Black Seed Oil comes from seeds of the virgin on the green flower

Hair enhancing Black Seed Oil comes from the seeds of Nigella sativa

Black Cumin Seed Oil or Black Seed Oil:

  • comes from the seeds of the Nigella sativa, commonly called virgin in the green flower.
  • is also known as Black Cumin Seed Oil
  • works well with other ingredients to provide therapeutic effects.
  • is an antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant oil
  • Black seeds and their oil have a long history of traditional medicine use in Indian and Arabian civilizations.

Why Use Black Cumin Seed Oil as a Scalp Treatment

For scalp care, Black Seed Oil contains Thymoquinone. This is an excellent antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant.

Black Cumin Seed Oil makes for an excellent scalp treatment. It hydrates the scalp to keep it in optimal condition for growing healthy hair.

Black Cumin Seed Oil also combats scalp conditions such as dandruff, psoriasis, and other skin conditions [1] that can impair healthy hair growth.

How to Use Black Cumin Seed Oil as a Scalp Treatment

Virgin in the green

  1. Mix the oil with Coconut or Olive Oil, about a 50/50 ratio.
  2. The oil can be warmed and applied directly to the scalp with a cotton ball or nozzle applicator tip.
  3. Massage gently into the scalp in a circular motion.
  4. Leave the oil mixture in the hair for at least 30 minutes, but it can be left in for even a few hours.
  5. Wash with a mild shampoo.

Can Black Cumin Seed Oil Cause HAIR GROWTH?

You may have heard about this oil as a hair growth remedy. This is the case for certain types of hair growth.

Medical research studies of Telogen effluvium hair loss show topical Black Seed Oil application reduces temporary hair loss. [2]

Black Cumin Seed Oil does not directly stimulate hair growth in those within normal, healthy hair growth. But it does enable the keeping maximum hair length by combatting hair brittleness.

Hair breakage can give the appearance of slower hair growth when the hair breaks as fast or faster than it grows. By stopping hair breakage, hair retains healthy length.

It works well with other ingredients to provide therapeutic effects. It is synergistic with other humectant and moisturizing ingredients to lock moisture into the hair. Hydrated hair is more elastic and resilient to breakage than brittle hair.

Black Cumin Seed Oil comes from the seeds of this flower

Black Cumin Seed Oil from the seeds of this flower is an excellent scalp treatment

How to Use Black Cumin Seed Oil for Conditioning Brittle Hair

  1. Mix Black Seed oil with Coconut or Olive Oil, about a 50/50 ratio.
  2. This mix can be warmed and applied to the lengths of the hair with or without a scalp treatment.
  3. Smooth the oil onto the hair with the palms of the hands, do not rub.
  4. Squeeze in extra onto the hair ends and damaged sections.
  5. It can also be added to your favorite hair conditioner to make a hair masque.
  6. Leave the mix in the hair for an hour before rinsing.
  7. The advantage of mixing the oil into a cream conditioner is it is far easier to rinse from the hair without excessive shampooing or leaving a residue.
  8. If possible, allow hair to dry within a towel or on a cool air setting to retain the moisture.

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream PRODUCT REVIEW. We tested and researched the ingredients.

Unlike most Vitamin C creams, Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream’s potent anti-aging punch is delivered in a formula that offers extreme hydration. And it comes with an adorable little bamboo spoon to hygienically scoop out just the right amount for face and throat. Check out the synergistic actives in this brilliant formulation.
Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

About Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream is filled with 19 synergistic actives!

It delivers three bio-available Vitamin C’s. Together these three Vitamin C’s give the full spectrum of what C has to offer.

The three Vitamin C’s are:

  • Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate. It is ideal for sensitive skin. It is less exfoliating but produces collagen and suppresses discoloration.
  • Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate absorbs deeply and works well with other Cs.
  • Ascorbyl Glucoside is a stable C. It offers antioxidant protection, collagen boosting, and fading hyperpigmentation.[1]

Along with this trio of C’s, Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream contains multiple anti-aging superstars such as Reishi and Cloudberry.

Cloudberry Cloudberry has four times the Vitamin C of an orange. It builds collagen, fights off attacks on collagen, reduces wrinkles, and hydrates.

The Experience

It is a rich, creamy, and spreadable texture that dries down smooth and not sticky or tacky.

The smooth texture of Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream is tempting to slather, but it is a treating cream, so just use the spoonful.

It does not sting. But when I applied it, I could tell it was potent.

Reishi mushroom

Reishi mushroom

Reishi mushroom promotes cell regeneration while reducing skin inflammation, puffiness, and wrinkles.

Tips & Tricks: How to Best Use Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream

Don’t layer other products with Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream.

If you MUST add a top layer, make sure it is a cream with no extra treating actives.

But there are plenty of soothing moisturizers in this formula so you likely will not need any secondary products with this cream.

Turmeric Turmeric extract is an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant that helps reduce and heal acne. It also reduces skin discoloration.

Let’s take a closer look:

Key Ingredient Profile

Orchid extracts are exceptionally skin hydrating

Orchid extracts are exceptionally skin hydrating

Orchid in Gelmersea Orchid Extract

Orchid

Orchid Extract

Orchid Extracts provide skin hydration.

Orchid root cells provide the orchid bloom longevity. This functionality is extracted to provide long-lasting skin hydration and plumping action.

Orchids contain mucilage to maintain hydration. When applied to the skin, Orchid mucilage has a high water binding capacity, working as a moisturizer and emollient.[1]

Orchids are also an anti-oxidant to fight free radicals [2] increase skin immunity and plump fine lines.

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract

Flowering Camellia Sinensis or Green Tea soothes sensitive skin

Flowering Camellia Sinensis

Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract is better known as Green Tea. Green Tea feeds and moisturizes the skin, calms irritation, and is an excellent antioxidant.

Topical Green Tea application can calm the irritation that aggressive topicals such as Retinol cause. It can reduce sun damage, decrease collagen breakdown and increase cell regeneration.

Green tea contains polyphenols that soothe the skin while providing antioxidants. Polyphenols may improve sun-damaged skin. [3]/

High in Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), green tea is a major player in skin health and appearance. EGCG is the potent antioxidant from green tea. It protects against environmental damage and neutralizes free radicals that prematurely age skin. Research shows EGCG reactivates dying skin cells. This shows promise for repairing sun damage and scar healing. [4]

The hydrating components of green tea create more volume in the skin to plump wrinkles.

Daffodil Extract

Daffodil Extract

Daffodil Root Extract

Daffodil Root Extract contains lycorine which is an anti-oxidant. [5]

Antioxidants help fight free radicals.  Free radicals accelerate the skins of aging.

Wild Yam Extract

Wild Yam Extract is an anti-inflammatory that reduces dark spots.

Rich in saponins, it promotes collagen production and skin radiance. Saponins are believed to enhance skin restoration on a DNA level within the skin cells. [6]

Diosgenin is a depigmenting agent in the skin, it reduces the spots that can arise from sun damage.[7]

Arginine

Arginine is an essential amino acid, the building blocks of skin peptides and proteins as well as hydration transportation within the skin. It helps restore skin damage. Vital to healthy, beautiful skin.

Lysine

Also an essential amino acid, Lysine strengthens the skin’s surface, helps to hydrate skin, clears acne, and supplies collagen-making components to the skin. Vital to healthy, beautiful skin.

Glutarmine

Glutarmine is an amino acid needed to grow fibroblast cells. Fibroblast cells significantly increase collagen production. Also an anti-oxidant. Glutarmine is abundant in the skin but is valuable in a formulation because it makes skin feel and look healthy and vibrant. [8]

Peony Root Extract

Peony Root Extract

Peony Root Extract

Paeonia Albiflora is Peony Root Extract. Peony Root Extract is helpful with regenerating skin experiencing sun damage-related issues.

Peony Root Extract offers anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits to fight free radicals.

Peony Root Extract promotes skin clarity and brightens the complexion. It contains paeonol, which is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory.

While Peony fights free radicals, it is still gentle and safe to layer with actives such as Retinol or Vitamin C.

THE Gelmersea Orchid Serum Toner EXPERIENCE

Gelmersea Orchid Serum Toner doesn’t burn or sting. It behaves more like a serum as it soothes and hydrates. But it is lightweight and non-sticky like a toner.

Gelmersea Orchid Serum Toner

Gelmersea Orchid Serum Toner

The scent is a light fresh floral when pumped out of the bottle, but dissipates during application.

Light floral scent and deep hydration

Gelmersea Orchid Serum Toner has a light floral scent and gives skin deep hydration

Use it in the morning or evening to prepare the skin.

Exceptionally hydrating! It is also an excellent face mask. One of my favorite pre or post NuFace treatment tricks is to put orchid serum toner on soaked cotton pads or face mask sheets and leave it on for ten-fifteen minutes. It is like a spa treat!

I am impressed that it simultaneously improves the look of fine wrinkles, dehydration, and adult acne. Hooray for Orchid Serum Toner!

We also love to use it after a Nuface treatment or peel: the combination leaves skin lifted and hydrated
