Instanatural Age Defying Skin Clearing Serum What to Know

October 7, 2016 · 1 Comment

In my teenage angst, I thought that at least my acne would clear up before I started to get fine lines on my face. Nope.

The majority of daily skin care products address one problem such as acne, wrinkles, dullness or fine lines. The problem is, if you are like me, all these problems can occur at once: adult acne, dry skin, wrinkles and fine lines all at the same time. How does one go about treating multi-concern skin?

THE PROBLEM: SKIN CARE FOR THE ACNE PRONE ADULT
If you have a tendency towards adult acne *and* you’re forming fine lines and wrinkles, you know the difficulty of skincare multi-tasking. Your acne care makes your skin look dry and old, and your anti-aging skin care can give you breakouts.

Add to the problem that most acne remedies are for teenagers with younger, oily skin. A teen can tolerate covering their chin and forehead with harsh benzoyl peroxides or other pimple creams and be none the worse for wear, but on an adult, these ingredients are too harsh, and they magnify the fine lines on anyone but a teenager.

Meanwhile, your skin requires moisturizing, and a daily program to enhance and repair your skin, as well as ideally, build collagen. These products generally include Vitamin C and Retinol serums as well as moisturizing ingredients.

INGREDIENTS FOR ACNE PRONE OLDER SKIN
Studies indicate that Salicylic Acid best targets the acne of adult skin, it is less harsh and will not make skin look flaky, red or dry, it treats existing breakouts and pre-empts new acne from forming.

A MULTI-TASKING SOLUTION: INSTANATURAL CLEAR SKIN SERUM
Instanaturals gets it that you can have more than one skin care issue occurring at once. Instanaturals Age Defying Skin Clearing Serum is designed for just that: it has enough Salicylic Acid to pre-empt acne breakouts, yet it also contains grown-up skincare ingredients including Vitamin C, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamin B3.

HOW IT WORKS:
Vitamin C and Retinol works for both anti-aging and pre-empting acne. Both Vitamin C and Retinol lighten discoloration from skin damage and acne scarring. They help build collagen, which makes skin look smoother and clearer, smoothing out fine bumps and pitting left from acne scars. Collagen also keeps skin from wrinkling and smooths fine lines. Vitamin B3 works to reduce scarring and red inflammation at a deeper level of the skin, so scars fade faster. Hyaluronic Acid holds moisture, plumping the skin, so it stays smooth and supple despite acne-sacking ingredients like Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Oil eliminating acne. This combination of moisturizing yet effective ingredients gives an overall unblemished, clear appearance to the skin, all while building collagen to fight future aging.

APPLICATION:
It is a thin liquid; it is not sticky. I only need about 1/6 of the dropper full for my entire face. It goes on smooth and dries down evenly so that makeup can be applied over it. Unlike some acne treatments, there is no tell-tale chalky residue or scent. The only scent is from the Vitamin C, a citrus scent that dissipates as it dries. It does not sting, and my skin feels smooth. The only advice I would give is I would skip the delicate eye area, as the ingredients for acne are indeed too drying for this skin. It applies quickly.

RESULTS:
I am very glad to find a product that addresses so many of my concerns at once. For areas such as forehead and chin, it is wonderful to be able to simultaneously address aging and acne concerns. The low-dose Salyclic is just enough to keep acne at bay while not overly drying my skin, and the Vitamin C, Retinol, and Vitamin B all have lightened some existing acne scars. I am especially happy seeing how it treats the dark redness surrounding a pimple; it lightens it without excess dry, flaky skin. Not having flaky skin is a big plus for me and makes it so much easier to cover healing pimples with concealer during the day.

CONCLUSION: a one-step product to address multiple skin concerns. If you have bouts of adult acne, there is no need to forgo an anti-aging skin care program. Instanatural Age Defying Skin Clearing Serum gives fast results without dryness, redness or skin flaking. It heals and prevents new acne and fades existing acne scars and marks. Excellent product for multi-tasking your skin care needs!

Skincare: InstaNatural Cleansing Acne Face Wash

October 7, 2016 · Leave a Comment

I have never tried an InstaNatural product that I didn’t like, and InstaNatural Cleansing Acne Face Wash is no exception.

InstaNatural Cleansing Acne Face Wash has 2% Salicylic Acid and Vitamin E. This means that your acne will be pummelled, but your skin won’t get irritated.

Salicylic Acid is a potent agent in fighting acne. One of my favorite spot treatments is 1% Salicylic Acid, so I know how powerful it can be to reduce acne. Regular washing with Salicylic Acid reduces current acne, prevents new acne from forming, tightening pores, and giving your skin a beautiful glow.

A couple of weeks ago I had a hormonal breakout the day before I went to a formal non-profit event (where I ended up in hundreds of pictures, of course.) I tried all of my standard acne treatments, and nothing worked. It’s practically like the acne derived strength from the treatments. I received this cleanser a few days later, and my skin was immediately improved: first the redness went away after two washes, then the pimples shrunk, and then the inflammation under the skin rose to the surface and disappeared. This last part is what makes Salicylic Acid as amazing: it travels deep into the skin. This was deep, painful acne. I considered getting a cortisone shot from my derm, but given how deep under the skin the blemishes was, I was worried that I would end up with a divet on my skin, so I opted instead to (unsuccessfully) cover the spots with concealer for my event. If I had the cleanser a few days sooner, the inflammation under the skin would have already risen and dissipated, and my skin would have been clear!

It is also amazing for getting rid of whiteheads and blackheads. I had a few whiteheads that dried out and came off within 48 hours, and some small blackheads that disappeared within 72 hours. I love products like this that work quickly; it makes it so much easier to stick with them! And I definitely will stick with this cleanser to prevent future breakouts!

Before sleeveless dress season this year, I read an article about using Salicylic Acid wash on underarms. It serves two purposes: first, because it kills bacteria, it keeps you fresh all day. Second, it brightens an abused area of skin (by waxing, shaving, etc.). I tried it with a cleanser I had that a small amount of Salicylic Acid in it at the time and was impressed, but I am thrilled to see the difference that InstaNatural Cleansing Acne Face Wash has on the area. You don’t think of underarms as an area that shows age, but once you see an improvement like you get from this cleanser, you will be amazed!

InstaNatural Cleansing Acne Face Wash has a very light sweet orange scent which is lovely but doesn’t remain on your skin after you wash the lather off. It washes off clean, which I like because some acne washes leave a residue behind that mixes with the moisturizer applied after, and you end up with a weird sticky residue. This cleanser just leaves your skin clean and bright. Instanatural also has a Salicylic Moisturizer (Instanatural Acne Moisturizer, available on Amazon). I haven’t tried it, but I am dying to after using InstaNatural Cleansing Acne Face Wash!

Why Use an Ice Roller to Depuff Undereye Bags

September 23, 2016 · 1 Comment

We’ve all heard that ice is good for your skin. Supermodels dunk their faces in ice cold water first thing in the morning to shrink pores. A standard pimple-reduction technique is to pop two ibuprofen and ice down a pimple, and it will disappear. Ice your eyes and undereye bags will vanish.

Yeah, none of those ever worked for me.

Nonetheless, I thought I would give an Ice Roller a try, and I’m thrilled that I did. The results are impressive.

ESARORA Ice Roller

ESARORA Ice Roller

First, prep is easy. Take the roller and put it in the freezer. That’s it. It will be ready in 15 minutes, but it doesn’t hurt to keep it in the freezer when not in use, so it is always ready.

Second, using it is easy. For beauty purposes, I like to run it over my face in the morning when I’m making my coffee. It takes less than a minute to slowly roll over my entire face, eye area, and throat, and it instantly depuffs my face and especially my undereye bags. It shrinks pores and gives skin a wide awake look.

The most impressive result is on acne. I woke up Tuesday to a profoundly painful pimple on my otherwise clear skin. I figured I would try the Ice Roller on it since it was so inflamed. Beyond the pimple itself, the inflammation was nearly the size of a dime. I knew that even if I put my go-to cream on the blemish that it would have a hard time penetrating the inflammation. I rolled the Ice Roller over it for about two minutes, and not only was the peripheral redness gone, but the pimple itself shrank and was far less red. I was able to apply medicine and then easily cover it with concealer when I did my makeup. That was a quick rescue and worth the very reasonable price just for that use!

I’m not quite sure what the difference is between this device and a standard ice cube or cold pack, but I have some theories. First, the pressure of the roller is very mild. I have tried many devices that attempt to take care of puffiness by micro-vibrations, but a few of those (including a high-end one) leaves my skin irritated due to the level of pressure. Conversely, the Ice Roller is the lightest of pressure, just enough to make sure the cold penetrates the skin. Second, the metal roller isn’t meant to stay in one spot too long, so the body doesn’t adversely react like if you put an ice cube on a spot and just held it there.

I’m thrilled to have a great item like this to quickly depuff in the morning!
